Lake Sladkoe and its natural heritage

In the Chelyabinsk region there is a lake Sladkoe. Despite its small size, many tourists flock here every summer. Why does it attract a large number of tourists?

Description of the lake

Sweet Lake is located in the Chelyabinsk region in the Oktyabrsky district. From Chelyabinsk to the reservoir 180 km. Three kilometers from the lake is the village of Kocherdyk.

As already mentioned, the size of the lake is small, its area is 0.32 km2. It is also shallow, with an average depth ranging from 1 to 1.5 meters. The deepest place is only 1.8 m.

There are no living creatures in the lake, no fish, no small organisms, no algae. Reeds grow along the banks, but at the same time, birds do not want to twist their houses in it. Birches and pines grow sparsely on the shore and the nearest territory, but a little further to the north and east a huge forest grows, in which you can pick up berries or mushrooms. Also in these places, a penetrating onion was found, which is considered a fairly rare plant.

Lake Sladkoe (Chelyabinsk region) and its environs belong to the Kocherdyksky reserve. Also in the fall of 1987, it was named a hydrological naturala monument of regional significance.

Lake features

This small reservoir is located in a basin of suffusion origin and is located among the strata of sedimentary continental rocks. It is possible that Sladkoe is a remnant of an ancient lake, which was much larger at one time, but in the process of evaporation it accumulated a large amount of s alts. The s alt composition of the local water is more alkaline. But Lake Sladkoe has another feature - at its bottom there are mineral muds that have a healing effect. By genesis, this soda-type self-planting pond is very similar to the lakes in Altai and Kulundy.

Every tourist pays attention to the fact that the shores of the lake are white. This phenomenon is explained by the abundant deposition of mineral s alts. Also, local water contains a lot of alkali, which is why it seems too soft.

Water was sampled, it turned out that a liter contains 124.8 mg of mineral s alts. Sodium, boron, chlorine, bicarbonate ions, salicylic acid compounds, and other s alts were predominant.

Healing properties

Given this composition of lake water, Sladkoe is extremely popular. People regularly come to its shores not only from the region, but from other countries. The lake generously endows all guests with he alth. Water and lake mud have a healing effect, increase human immunity, eliminate inflammatory processes and accelerate the healing of wounds. If there are diseases in the oral cavity, they can be solved on this lake. But the most successful here is the treatment of skin problems. That is why in the summer season there are many vacationers in the mud wandering on the banks.

Healing waters and mud help people cope with allergies, diseases of the intestines, stomach, musculoskeletal system, periodontal disease, hair diseases, etc.

Recreation centers

Since the lake is small, there are practically no sanatoriums and boarding houses on it. Only on one side there is a recreation center. Lake Sladkoe mainly receives tourists who have a rest "savage". The existing complex is the former sanatorium "Berezka", now called the recreation center "Sweet". It includes several one-story wooden houses. The conditions in the rooms are ordinary, not designed for special additional amenities.

The base has its own sandy beach with recreation facilities. There is also a low dining room that can accommodate 80 guests at a time. A cafe-bar is built on the territory, which has TV, karaoke and parties. Volleyball court, billiards, table tennis, dry steam bath (large and small), 2 pontoons, children's playground, barbecue areas and gazebos are provided for the leisure of vacationers. You can also rent a boat. If visitors arrive by car, parking is provided for them. Check-in time is 18.00 and check-out time is 16.00.

How Sladkoe Lake (Chelyabinsk region) is misused

Recreation centers are only on one side of the reservoir, here you can save moneytake a break and get he althy. At the same time, tourists come to the other side during the hot season who want to live longer and not pay anything for it. Therefore, almost all summer there is a tent city here - some leave, others take their place. Such unorganized tourism has led to the fact that the territory acquires an unsightly appearance. People do not want to clean up their garbage, go to the toilet "wherever they have to", kindle fires, but for this they thoughtlessly cut down a birch grove, also leaving home, picking up dirt "in reserve". Also, greedy entrepreneurs take out healing we alth.

Because of such selfish use, Lake Sladkoe shrinks every year and turns into a pile of rubbish. Even in Soviet times, this place was recognized as a healing place. But the authorities decided not to build sanatoriums, since the resources of this reservoir are limited. Today, this area lacks such a wise owner who could take control of the use of resources.
