Gradually, the map of Europe acquired the outlines familiar to us, and the races mixed up. But that ancient family remained to live in this Catalan town. It was he who gave it its name. Their surname sounded like that - Blanes. Since then, this place has served as a haven for many fishermen, but most importantly, the tourism business has been developing here since ancient times. And how could it be otherwise?Natural beauties, large picturesque beaches and incomparable monuments of architecture arouse constant interest, they attract people. Spain gives them all these riches.
Blanes is famous for its stone cliff, which divided its territory into two parts - northern and southern. Local residents settled in the first one, so there are many residential areas, hypermarkets and markets. But the tourist paradise is located in the southern part of the town. It is here that hotels and luxury villas are built, souvenir shops and beach cafes are open. The ancient narrow streets are lined with chic restaurants and trendy boutiques. There are also many children's entertainment centers, windsurfing schools and other typical resort establishments.
Like all of eastern Spain, Blanes is replete with wide and clean beaches. In this city, they are divided into two types - sandy and pebble. White sands can be considered a feature of local coastal zones. In Catalonia, most of the beaches are yellow, and in this region, one might say, nature has provided an exception. The pearl of the resort is the S’Abannel recreation area, where you can rent equipment for windsurfing or diving, or rent a yacht.
The ideal country for those who like to travel by car is Spain. Blanes (a map of the city and its surroundings is sold at any kiosk) is located 60 km from Barcelona, and the town of Santa Susanna is also located nearby. There is a giant water park "Marineland", where both children and adults can have fun. Not far from it there are many cafes, which you should definitely look into and taste local dishes. Among the national culinary masterpieces, paella is most famous.
The San Juan Tower is considered the oldest asset of the city. It was built in 1022, and in subsequent centuries it was completed and restored. Nevertheless, the construction has retained the original Romanesque style, therefore, having climbed it, you can be transported to the Middle Ages, full of sacred secrets. Several centuries later, all architectural masterpieces began to be built in the spirit of the Gothic. One of them appeared on the territory of Blanes - this is a monastery, which is currently a museum. Also noteworthy are the gates of the Virgin Mary, the palace of the Viscounts of De Cabrera, the fountain, the chapel of Saint Barbara, the hospital of Saint Jaume and the deep well of Sant João. All these architectural monuments were erected in the Gothic era.
Finally, it is worth noting that hotels in the mentioned region are very affordable for many. Here you can reserve both a luxurious five-star room with a sea view and a modest 2 room. Among the most visited hotels is the Beverly Park complex. Blanes (Spain) is exactly the place that will never be erased from your memory. Once you've been there, you'll definitely want to come back.
