The largest of the Egyptian pyramids - the pyramid of Cheops - the last of the seven wonders of the world, which has survived to our time. Its height is 137.2 meters, and the length of one side is 230 meters. For the construction of this structure, bas alt and granite blocks weighing about 2.5 tons were used.
The exact date of construction has not been established, but they presumably call the XXVI century BC - the period of the reign of Pharaoh Khufu, or Cheops. However, this issue remains controversial and not completely solved, as well as the purpose of the construction of the pyramids.
Secrets of the pyramids: early hypotheses
The very first hypothesis that was considered in an attempt to unravel the mystery of the great pyramid was the use of the pyramid as a tomb for the pharaoh. Modern scientists refute this opinion and argue that the pyramid of Cheops never served as a tomb - it has a completely different purpose.
Some Egyptologists believe that the pyramid is a model of linear and temporal dimensions characteristic of the earth, as well as a repository of standardsancient measures and weights. No one is able to give an exact answer to this question, one thing can be said for certain - the construction of the pyramid was led by someone who possessed the knowledge that was discovered by mankind much later: the average value of the earth's orbit as it rotates around the sun, the density of the globe, the speed of light, etc..
There is another hypothesis that reveals the secrets of the Cheops pyramid - the structure is an original calendar. After all, it has been scientifically proven that it can serve as a compass and theodolite. Moreover, it is so accurate that it can be equated with the most modern devices.
Astronomical accuracy
The secret of the pyramids also lies in the incredible correctness of their construction. The two sides of the great pyramid are oriented along the line of the earth's axis. True, with a slight deviation of 1/20 of a degree. Even now, with today's technology, such complex and exquisite construction would require the use of precise high-resolution maps and laser equipment. The perimeter of the Cheops pyramid is almost a square of almost perfect shape with a slight deviation of a couple of centimeters.
Secrets of the Pyramids: Appointment
As already mentioned, the assumption that the pyramid was built as the tomb of the pharaoh is very controversial. In Egypt, there is a stele on which it is written that the pyramid is the creation of the goddess Isis, and Pharaoh Cheops only repaired it. True, Egyptologists do not recognize the authenticity of this ancient attribute. Many of them continue to uncover the secrets of the pyramids and search insideinstallations hidden secret cameras.
It is quite possible that the pyramids hide secret passages and cells of priests who could enter the pyramids from below and get to the very top by secret paths.
Secrets of the pyramid: popular hypotheses
A radio engineer from Czechoslovakia, Karel Drbal, on the basis of his experiments, came to the conclusion that there is a connection between the shape of the inner space of the pyramid and the processes occurring in this space. So there was an assumption that the shape of the pyramid accumulates cosmic rays or some other energy unknown to science.
There is another interesting theory that claims that the truncated shape of the pyramid was a landing site for alien ships. But Herodotus refutes it, since it is not confirmed by anything.
