Belaya Glina of the Krasnodar Territory is a small beautiful village located on the banks of the Rassypnaya River. History and economics

The village of Belaya Glina in the Krasnodar Territory was founded in 1820 by Voronezh peasants. It got its name due to the huge deposits of kaolin, which is mined in pits on the banks of the river. This clay is highly plastic and was previously used for making dishes. Today, the most famous hereditary pottery professionals live in the village.

The settlement entered the district in 1924 and over the twelve years of its existence it has been part of the South-Eastern Region, the North Caucasus and the Azov-Black Sea Territory. The village became part of the Krasnodar Territory only in the autumn of 1937.

The region's economy is based on diversified agriculture and processing industry. The agrarian complex here consists of thirteen farmscollective sector and four hundred peasant farms. Large ones are engaged in the cultivation of sugar beets, the production of meat, milk and sunflower seeds. And one of the highly specialized enterprises is focused on fruit crops.

Location

The administrative center of the Krasnodar Territory is the village of Belaya Clay, located two hundred kilometers from Krasnodar. In the northeast, it borders on the Tselinsky and Egorlyksky districts of the Rostov region, in the west on the Novopokrovsky district of the Krasnodar Territory, and in the south on the Krasnogvardeisky district of the Stavropol Territory.

Beloglinsky district consists of four settlements - Novopavlovsky, Central, Uspensky and the village of Belaya Clay. The Krasnodar-Volgograd railway and two highways connecting Rostov and Stavropol, as well as Salsk and Tikhoretsk, pass through the entire region.

Thanks to the developed network of roads, the village can be easily reached from any city in the Kuban. And the nearest airport is located in Armavir.

  • memorial dedicated to the memory of the heroes who died in the Great Patriotic War, established in 1974;
  • a monument to the victims of fascism, which can be found four kilometers from the administrative center (it was on its territory that more than 3,500 thousand innocent people were killed by Nazi troops in 1942-1943);
  • monument to the young generation of the thirties, erected in 1995;
  • monument to pilot S. Belousov shot down in 1942.

Among the architectural monuments, the building built in the distant 1903 stands outa comprehensive school, as well as a music school building erected at the expense of landowners at the end of the eighteenth century. It was from the balcony of this house that Mikhail Kalinin spoke in 1920.

The central park alley is the real pride of the village, its beauty is not inferior to the alleys of large cities. Its comfort is conducive to a pleasant relaxing holiday and leisurely walks. All paths are paved, and flowers and trees stretch on both sides. At the end of the alley there is a year-round fountain and a memorial with an eternal flame.

The banks of numerous rivers (Ryssypnaya, Mekleta, Tatarka and Kalala) are overgrown with reeds, in which waterfowl are found, therefore hunting is developed and popular in the region and there are several large stocked reservoirs.

On the territory of the village there is a local history museum, the House of Culture. Zvyagin, a cinema under the Soviet name "Drummer", a central and children's library and a sports complex.
