The architectural heritage of Tomsk has a huge number of beautiful old buildings. One of them was built in 1904 by order of the Tomsk merchant Fleer. The Art Nouveau building stands out for its rich decor: stucco decorations, an elegant bas-relief depicting a woman's face, openwork metal balcony railings, and forged gratings. Today, the mansion with a blue facade houses the Wedding Palace.

Semiluzhsky Ostrog

An unusual landmark of the Tomsk region is the "Cossack prison" in the village of Semiluzhki - a rebuilt ancient fortress-fortification, located in this farm in the 17th century.

A true monument of culture in the opensky appeared thanks to the efforts of the custodian of the Cossack traditions VF Ilyin - an ordinary local pensioner. All buildings are exact copies of medieval buildings, as they were created according to drawings four hundred years ago and are used for their intended purpose. The Ilyin family lives in a Russian hut; guests are welcomed in the refectory; in the forge, the owner demonstrates the basics of blacksmithing; food stocks are stored in a covered storeroom; a real bell rings in the chapel; in the bath, paired brooms are offered. There is a mini-museum with rare items collected from the surrounding villages. Antique clothes, armor, weapons, coins - all this can not only be seen, but for a closer look, touch and even try on. Previously, only its residents and nuclear industry specialists, who conducted their research there, knew about the existence of this city. Entry is restricted due tosecrecy and is only possible with a special pass.

Despite the fact that the town is relatively small and young, there are also sights in Seversk, Tomsk region. In the center of the city there is a museum that opened in 1987, the largest among nuclear cities, since it houses a fourth part of the museum fund of the Russian Federation. The museum contains more than 130 thousand memorabilia and photographs about the history of the city. The exhibits are combined into collections according to directions. Archaeological and ethnological objects, a valuable selection of awards and coins, examples of applied art are presented. The Seversk Museum, in addition to excursions, attracts with general educational programs and various master classes.

Asino Regional Museum

There is a city of Asino with a local landmark created in 1989, 100 km from the center of the Tomsk region. This is a local history museum with a collection of over 13,000 exhibits that characterize the history and natural we alth of the native land. The exhibition "Asinovskaya Starina" demonstrates clothes, household utensils, household items and tools of the peasants who once inhabited the village. There is an exposition dedicated to the life and work of the writer G. M. Markov, a native of the region. The town, which received its status only in the 70s, is known as the center of the birch bark industry. Cathedral

The architectural decoration and historical landmark of Tomsk is a beautiful, unique peach-colored building - the Epiphany Cathedral. It was erected on the site of a small wooden church at the end of the 17th century. In 1804, it was in this temple that the formation of the Tomsk province was publicly announced. The main cathedral shrines are a particle of the relics of the Great Martyr Panteleimon and the Crucifixion with a tiny particle of the Cross, where Jesus was crucified. On holidays, the shrines are taken to the center of the temple for general worship.

Lake Kirek

A natural monument of a regional scale - a small beautiful lake an hour's drive from Tomsk. The mirror surface is abundantly dotted with white water lilies, it is simply impossible to take your eyes off the picturesque landscape. The reservoir is famous for its clear warm water, sandy bottom and thickness of healing silt. In the coastal zone there are parking lots for picnics, there is a mud bath. Country Park

Not far from Tomsk, on the outskirts of the village of Zork altsevo, there is a place chosen by city dwellers of all ages - the Okolitsa park. An unusual attraction of the Tomsk region is located on the edge of the forest, surrounded by pines and birches, and occupies a plot of 16 hectares.

Since 2013, the park has been hosting the annual "Ax Festival" - an international festival of wooden craftsmen,who work tirelessly for three days and give ordinary logs a second life. Tens of thousands of guests from all over the Siberian region come to see this spectacle. The works of the participants remain in the park and decorate its green area. There are more and more mythical characters and heroes of famous fairy tales frozen in a tree from year to year.
