Minsk is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Of course, now its appearance is modern, this is due to the fact that it was almost completely destroyed and rebuilt more than ten times. This picturesque city, despite its small size, has a rather complex zoning scheme. Most likely, this is the result of constant restructuring and historical changes. Every year Minsk became more and more numerous, its legal status and geographical location of the center often changed.

Minsk - an ancient shopping center

Some sources claim that the city is almost a thousand years old, and its name is due to the intersection of trade routes in this area. So he got his name: from the word "mena", that is, to change, exchange. Archaeologists confirm the fact that there were probably two settlements, or settlements, which were famous for their thriving trading industry. Watching bustling Minsk today, it's hard to believe that just a couple of millennia ago there were quiet pastures where livestock grazed peacefully.

Today the city is unrecognizable. The bustling life of the noisy capital is not at all like the old days. It is generally accepted that the main historical districts of the city are: Sukharevo, Vesnyanka, Uruchcha, Chizhovka, Green meadow and Shabany. This state of affairs changed radically in the twentieth century, when the area of the capital increased many times over and it became necessary to artificially divide the city into administrative sections. Fortunately, some districts of Minsk have retained their ancient historical names.

Frunzensky district and its life

Each administrative district has its own unique and fascinating history. Perhaps the story should start with the biggest. The Frunzensky district (Minsk) is considered by many to be the leading and most prosperous in the city. Most of the inhabitants are attracted by the huge number of jobs and city-forming enterprises that are located on its vast area. But this is not strictly a business part of the city, residential areas occupy about fifty percent of the territory.

More than four hundred and fifty people live there - this is the highest indicator of the number of inhabitants in the city. Recently, a high increase in young families has been noticed. Unfortunately, finding a building site is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Therefore, there was a great need for free construction sites. The problem of overpopulation for large cities is already becoming a familiar norm, and densely populated areas of Minsk are no exception.

Sights of Pervomaisky district

The following area is architecturally unique. It is located among the picturesque massifs of the park and the Botanical Garden. Yes, this is Pervomaisky district of Minsk. The most outstanding building on its territory is the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus. One of the buildings of the National Belarusian Technical University is designed in the shape of a ship.

There really is something to see. Qualified architects tried to make the building attractive not only with its intellectual values, but also with its outrageous appearance. Notably, this part of the city has its own custom emblem.

Moskovsky district with its infrastructure

Moskovsky district of Minsk everyone calls the youngest in the capital. However, this did not in the least affect either the number of attractions or their historical value. It is located in the southwestern part of Minsk. It is through it that the famous railway line called Minsk - Brest passes. The young district continues to acquire new buildings and residential buildings. It is decorated with many attractions that will be of interest not only to tourists, but also to other residents of the capital.

Factory District: Culture and Industry

No less interesting is the factory district of Minsk. Located in the southeastern part of the city, it is ideal for the industrial sector. And this is not surprising, because industry is the main area of activity of the region. On its territory there are several dozen largeindustrial enterprises. Among them: "Minskzhelezobeton", "Minskpromstroy", "Minskdrev" and many others. The city is proud of the area's research and development organizations.

Education in this part of the city is also not in last place. Today there are many educational institutions aimed at producing qualified specialists for various fields of activity. Cultural monuments that many districts of Minsk can boast of can be found here as well. Among them there is a granite monument to Lenin and many other historical figures. The districts of Minsk, like the city itself as a whole, are a good example of cleanliness, tidiness and well-developed infrastructure. Every tourist should visit this historic and unshakable city at least once. Its attractions will not leave indifferent even the most demanding travelers.
