The tower consists of two parts. The height of the first is 449 m. It has the shape of a hyperboloid. The second part of the structure is the spire. Its height is 160 m.

The structure, which weighs 50,000 tons, was based on pipes made of strong and flexible steel of large sizes. Thanks to this, the TV tower is able to withstand the most powerful earthquakes over 8 points. On September 29, 2010, construction was completed, and the Guangzhou TV Tower, a symbol of the modern city, appeared in all its glory.

She turned out to be very slender, as intended by the architects, and somewhat reminiscent of a female figure. This structure even has a waist that is at the level of the 66th floor, its diameter is about 30 m. At night, it is lit by economical LEDs. The tower transmits radio and TV signals and can receive about 10,000 tourists a day.

Guangzhou TV Tower has six high speed elevators inside,thanks to which staff and visitors rise to the very top in just a minute and a half. There are four observation platforms located at different levels of the building: 33 m, 116 m, 168 m and 449 m, which can be accessed by purchasing a ticket of the corresponding category.

At the very top of Guangzhou's sights is the tallest and most unique Ferris wheel of its kind, which consists of 16 spherical booths. They ride around the roof along its outer edge, and each cabin can fit 5-6 people. To visit the lower level, which includes 32 floors, and its observation deck is at a height of 33 m, you need to pay 50 yuan. To visit the middle level with platforms at a height of 166 m and 168 m and floors from 32 to 67, you need to pay 100 yuan. If you want to reach the highest level and a height of 450 meters, you need to pay 150 yuan, for pensioners and students - 120 yuan. Entry fee and admission fee for allkinds of attractions will be 488 yuan.

If you want to get to Guangzhou TV Tower by public transport, you need to use the subway and get off at Chigang Station, which is on line 3.

If you use a taxi, you can get stuck in traffic jams for a long time, since, for example, such a trip from the airport takes about an hour.
