The distance from Moscow to Lukhovitsy is 150 kilometers, it is easy to travel in different ways, both by regular transport (bus and train) and by car. Along the way, you can see several interesting cities. This is a good itinerary for a day trip.
Train ride
The city of Lukhovitsy is located on the railroad from Moscow to Ryazan. Fast trains have not made stops at such small stations for a long time; there are electric trains for this purpose. They depart from Moscow to Lukhovitsy from 7 am to 9 pm. Most of them are daily, but there are exceptions. The trip can take from 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2.5 hours. The departure point is the Kazansky railway station in Moscow. Ordinary trains depart according to the following schedule:
- 08:30.
- 15:20.
- 19:06.
- 21:35.
None of them stops at every station along the way. In Moscow, you can take such an electric train not only at the Kazansky railway station, but also on the Vykhino and Perovo platforms. The final station for them is Ryazan, but there are exceptions, for example,flight at 21:35 goes to Lukhovits.
The fast train schedule is as follows:
- 07:12.
- 09:08.
- 12:39.
- 17:23.
- 18:23.
- 18:40.
They all go to Ryazan, but to different stations - both to the first and to the second. There may be few stops, for example, the flight at 17:23 makes a stop along the way at the 88th kilometer and Golutvin stations.
Tickets for such luxury trains are sold with seats indicated. A ticket for a regular train from Moscow to Lukhovitsy costs 345 rubles, and for an accelerated train - 455 rubles.
Return trains depart from Lukhovits station from 5 am to 7:29 pm. In general, a trip can be organized in one day if you leave the capital at 08:30 am and leave Lukhovitsy at 19:29.
Ride on the bus
If you do not want to go by train, you can try to get from Moscow to Lukhovitsy and by bus "Mostransavto". All of them recover from the Kotelniki bus station from 07:20 to 22:10. The trip will take two hours. All buses arrive at the bus station in the city of Lukhovitsy or at the Perekrestok store.
The bus station is located next to the railway station. The final station for the bus can be the city of Lukhovitsy itself and Zaraysk following it. A bus ticket from Moscow to Lukhovitsy will cost an average of 300 rubles.
Drive a car
The distance between cities is about 150 kilometers, but it depends on which district of Moscowleave. You can drive it by car along the E-30 highway in an average of 2 hours. The exact time depends on the weather, traffic and the situation on the track.
The road passes through a populated and very picturesque area. On the way from the capital to Lukhovitsy, you can stop by the city of Bronnitsy, Voskresensk and Kolomna.
Each of these cities has its own attractions. For example, in Bronnitsy you should see the following objects:
- Cathedral of Michael the Archangel. Near it are the graves of the Decembrists Pushchin and Fonvizin.
- Pedestrian bridge over Lake Belskoe and an observation deck with a gazebo.
- Monument to military vehicles. The city is interesting because military equipment was tested near it.
- Local History Museum. The exposition is not rich, among the exhibits there is an old English hay cutter.
In Voskresensk it is worth visiting a slag heap, rare for the Moscow region.
There are many sights in Kolomna: the Kremlin, monuments to the water carrier and Dmitry Donskoy, ancient churches and monasteries, several museums, sometimes quite interesting, for example, the Marshmallow Museum.
What to visit in Lukhovitsy?
The city has long been famous for its cucumbers. A monument to the famous local cucumber was erected on the E-30 highway, at the crossroads near the overpass. This vegetable differs from similar monuments in Ukrainian Nizhyn and Belarusian Shklov.
From the museums it is worth visiting the unique cucumber museum. It is difficult to find the second one anywhere in Russia. It is young - exists since 2008.
