Every year the popularity of outdoor activities increases, and there are more and more resort complexes where you can spend your holidays and practice various sports. Close attention is being paid to the development of tourism and the implementation of the Veduchi ski resort project in Chechnya. After all, this project can become one of the main drivers of economic development. The first tourists at the ski resort should appear at the beginning of 2018.

How did construction begin?

The project is very complex, like any construction in the mountains. The difficulty is connected with the laying of routes, the construction of infrastructure and roads in the mountains. When planning this ski resort, we negotiated with construction companies in Germany, Israel and Turkey. The costs for each facility were fully calculated, and an assessment was made of how effective this project would be for the republic. As a result, an agreement was signedbetween OJSC "Resorts of the North Caucasus (KSK)" and LLC "Veduchi" on the construction of a ski resort.

It is planned before the end of 2017, in parallel with the construction of infrastructure facilities of the resort, to open commercial hunting and fishing in this territory. This will be a good help for the development of the region, but most importantly, the population will get a job, providing for the needs of tourists who come for recreation and entertainment. It is planned to create 720 jobs in the resort area by 2025.

Attractive to investors

The project is being implemented as a state program for the development of the North Caucasus, for which about 6.5 billion rubles were allocated. The result of this project is the possible creation of a special economic zone in the Itum-Kalinsky district, which is located in the picturesque Argun Gorge. This is very beneficial for investors who will invest in project facilities. The municipality will automatically exempt them from taxes for a period determined by law. Ruslan Baysarov believes that anyone who wants to work can open their own business and benefit from the project. That is, the investor who comes and develops a restaurant and hotel business here, and the number of objects is not limited, will be exempt from a number of taxes: on property, land, wages.

What is included in the construction plans?

A road is being built from Grozny to the Veduchi ski resort. The opening of this route will allow an hour to get from the airport of the capital of Chechnyato the village of Veduchi. A lot of work has already been done to electrify the area and provide it with water.

1110 hectares were allotted for the territory of the resort area. According to the preliminary calculations of the administration of OAO "KSK", the ski resort will be able to simultaneously receive up to 180 thousand vacationers a year, and also, according to the calculations made, a full return on investments allocated from state budget funds for its construction should occur within twenty-five years. In terms of investments, the project is estimated at the level of nineteen billion rubles.

At the Veduchi ski resort, vacationers will be able to practice all kinds of sports all year round. The expected winter season will last 6 months, starting in November and ending in April. By the summer period, a wildlife park will be open, along the developed routes, tourists will be able to walk in the mountains or relax on the shores of a mountain lake. According to the stories of the local population, there are many attractions in the area that tourists can get acquainted with.

Involved in construction organizations

In the plans of OAO "KSK" by 2020, a ski area of up to 10 kilometers should be ready. Going forward, cross-country trails will be extended to 15 kilometers by 2025.

The French company "POMA" is one of the leaders in the world transport systems. Its cable cars are in 63 countries, and the lifts manufactured and installed by this company for many years of workshowed excellent results. There have been no accidents on more than 700 cable cars. Firm "POMA" participated in the competition held by JSC "KSK", and got the opportunity to build ropeways in the ski resort. In September 2016, a work schedule and construction time were agreed with this company. The minimum infrastructure for launching the first slope should be created within a year, and the project for the first launch complex should be ready by the end of the year.

Settings

The opening of the Veduchi ski resort in Chechnya, which was supposed to take place by the end of the year, has been postponed to early 2018. According to information from the press, commissioning will begin at the complex in December 2017 and, most likely, only a technical launch can be carried out. And also with the management of OAO "KSK" an agreement was reached on compliance with the work schedule. Currently, there are partially constructed tourist infrastructure facilities on the territory of the resort area.

What will be the slopes at the resort?

The construction organizations plan to make 19 slopes of varying difficulty from green to black. They will pass in the area of the northern slopes of the Daneduk ridge. The estimated length of the trails will be about 30 km. There are 8 rope lifts and one baby lift in the project. The height of the highest point of the route is 2980 meters. It is expected that the track, which is more than twelve kilometers long and takes about 20 minutes to descend, willunique. Of all the slopes of the future Veduchi ski resort, one was ready in 2017, tested by famous athletes from Russia, Europe and the USA during the presentation of the project.

The resort administration plans to have a snowboard park, a track for beginners, as well as a children's ski town and a freeriding area. In addition to the ski slopes, cross-country skiing will be laid at the resort. For summer sports, areas for roller skating, quad biking, and rafting will be created. The plans are colossal!

What will Veduchi resort look like?

The view of the resort itself will be unusual. According to the project, a complex of several chalets and a comfortable hotel will be built on the territory of the resort. It is the architectural appearance of the buildings that is unusual, made in a style that is traditional for these places. This is a view of the Chechen towers. So all administrative buildings will be completed. Cafes and restaurants are also in the design stage. There will be several of them throughout the Veduchi ski resort. Some cafes will be built on the highest point of the resort.

Project leaders make every effort to ensure that construction delays are minimal and the delivery date is not postponed from year to year. After all, the management has ambitious plans - to make the resort under construction so that it is among the best resorts in the world. Whether it will be possible to make a start in January-February 2018, time will tell, and skiers and vacationers will be able togive a real rating to the resort.
