During the implementation of the New Moscow project, which started in 2011 and provides for the expansion of the boundaries of the capital at the expense of adjacent territories, some settlements that no one had heard of before gained immense popularity across the country. An example of a transformation from a small village into a recreation and entertainment center is the village of Krasnaya Pakhra, located on the right bank of the Pakhra River, 18 km from the central part of the city of Podolsk. Today this village is part of the Trinity Administrative District of Moscow.
History
The first mention of the settlement dates back to the 16th century. At the same time, its name was Slobodka. It acquired its real name in 1862 from the Krasnoye estate, which belonged to Darya Nikolaevna S altykova, better known in history under the nickname S altychikha, a sadist who tortured several dozen of her serfs to death. The estate has survived to this day. This area is also known for the events of the war of 1812, whenKutuzov, having made a false maneuver of retreat from Moscow, deployed his troops, went to the Kaluga road near Krasnoe. A few days later, the army headed for the village of Tarutino, completely blocking the enemy's access to food and weapons depots located there. Thus, the Napoleonic troops were left in the captured capital without food and ammunition. From 1927 to 1957, the village of Krasnaya Pakhra was the regional center.
Our days
In recent years, the village has become one of the most popular places for recreation and sports among Muscovites and residents of neighboring settlements. The picturesque area, clean river and developing infrastructure make it possible to have a great weekend or entire vacation. The local population, according to the 2010 census, is 2440 people.
Infrastructure
Krasnaya Pakhra is known for its cottages under construction and finished, which are in demand among we althy citizens. It is very convenient to have such housing in an ecologically clean place, less than 50 km from Moscow, if you have an excellent road and a car. In addition, the village has its own secondary school, an art school for children, the Zvezdny recreation center, where more than 30 circles and clubs operate, and various creative and sports events are held. With the influx of vacationers, small businesses also began to strengthen. Private hotels and shopping centers are being built, shops and cafes are opening.
Park
In 2013, the Krasnaya Pakhra sports and entertainment park was opened here. The recreation area covers an area of 12 hectares, wherethere are tennis courts, basketball and football fields with artificial turf. About 10,000 people visit the park every weekend. The already existing ski slope, about 2 km long, has been renovated. There is also a BMX cycle track, specially equipped for international competitions. It was in this place that the Russian BMX Championship was held in 2009.
River and beach
The structure of the park also includes the Krasnaya Pakhra pier, the beach and the parking lot. The river bed in the area of the village was previously cleared for small vessels. Sand was also brought in to improve the beach. Boat stations and places for fishing are equipped on the shore. Two bridges have been built across the river, connecting the recreation area with a parking lot for 250 cars. Another car park for 75 cars is located directly at the entrance to the park. Walking areas with asph alt paths are equipped along the river, where you can ride bicycles, rollerblades, and skate.
Sanatorium
Another popular object in the village of Krasnaya Pakhra is a sanatorium for children with cardio-rheumatic diseases. Although it is active, it is currently being reconstructed. By the end of 2014, it is planned to complete all the work. The total area of the territory is 22.5 thousand square meters. m. 4 new medical buildings were completed: cardiological, oncohematological, endocrinological and medical services. All of them are connected into a single system through pedestrian galleries. The first floors of the complex are occupied by officestherapeutic physical education and medical, and on the 2nd and 3rd floors there are 2-4-bed living rooms with huge balconies and bathrooms. Children's sports grounds and a canteen are being built. The renovated sanatorium will be able to accept up to 250 patients at the same time.
Prospects for development
In the future, according to the assurances of the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Pyotr Biryukov, it is planned to continue developing the infrastructure of Krasnaya Pakhra and the entire "New Moscow". In the coming years, several more sports and entertainment parks will be laid out, and the number of beaches will increase. And already in 2015-2016, it is planned to conduct a metro in this area.
How to get there
It's easy to get to the picturesque village of Krasnaya Pakhra even now. Every day, buses number 508, 512, 513, 514, 515 and 531 run from the Teply Stan metro station. You can also get there by fixed-route taxis. The number of stops is 24. The time spent on the bus does not exceed one hour.
