Example of travel along this route
The following is a story about the journey of one person in a Subaru car from St. Petersburg to Krasnodar through the Volga region and back with a stop in Moscow.
He made the trip alone in the summer of 2014. At 3 o'clock at night, the man drove towards the Murmansk highway, then turned towards Vologda. At that time, the road surface was being repaired along the entire route up to Cherepovets, so he lost about an hour and a half in traffic jams. At a speed of about a hundred km / h, I reached it in 3.5 hours, then, rounding Yaroslavl, headed towards Ivanovo.
The roads all this time were pretty bad, with a lot of potholes. The traveler ended up in Ivanovo at 19:00 and immediately settled inhotel "Ivanovskaya".
The next day at 11 o'clock in the morning the man went to Nizhny Novgorod to visit his relatives, where he arrived at 19 o'clock. After staying there for a couple of days, at about 11 am he went on the route to Voskresensk and after 12 hours ended up in Yoshkar-Ola..
The roads in Tatarstan are very good. In about 4.5 hours the man got to Ulyanovsk, in 3.5 hours to Saransk. After that, he left Saransk at 8 pm and by 11 pm he was at the Quiet Pier hotel in Penza, which he had chosen via the Internet. After spending the night, he went to Saratov at 12 noon. At about 3 o'clock at night, the traveler checked into the Kristall Hotel in Volgograd for 1,800 rubles. The next day he walked around the city, and only at 2 o'clock at night he left in the direction of Krasnodar. On the way, he drove past Salsk, Tikhoretsk, Kropotkin and ended up in Krasnodar at 12 noon.
Return route
The same user also described the return trip from Krasnodar to St. Petersburg. He left for Rostov at night to avoid traffic jams. The road is not bad, but the monotonous steppe is tiring. Gas stations are rare. At about two o'clock in the afternoon, a man drove into the Tula region, where he had to drive along toll sections of the road. Rates are quite reasonable. You can stay on this site until 12 noon.
For the first day he got to the city of Bogoroditsk, where he spent the night at the "Crystal" hotel. Since morningthe traveler left for Novomoskovsk, while at the railway crossing at the Uzlovaya station he lost about 40 minutes.
Then a good road to Tula and Moscow awaited him, a big traffic jam on the Moscow Ring Road, then a great road to St. Petersburg. In total, this person traveled 24 days. From Krasnodar, he went to swim and sunbathe on the Black Sea beaches of Gelendzhik, Kabardinka, Novorossiysk. In total, during this time he wound 7,500 kilometers, having consumed 350 liters of fuel, which cost 12,000 rubles.
