Lanskoe Highway is a highway of St. Petersburg, passing from the bank of the Black River to the beginning of Engels Avenue. This road has been around for a long time. Since the end of the 18th century, the territory located between the Black River and the Vyborg tract was the property of representatives of an old noble family - the Lanskys. It was from their surname that the name of the original road came, which later turned into an avenue, as well as the street that branched off from it. A little later, the bridge received a similar name. Since 1962, this road has been called differently. She was named after the chairman of the executive committee of the Leningrad City Council N. I. Smirnova. The former name returned to the highway only in 1991.
Active development of these territories took place from 1950 to 1970.
