Republic of Kyrgyzstan: nature and climatic conditions
The territory of Kyrgyzstan is located within two mountain ranges: Tien Shan and Pamir-Altai. The second Switzerland is sometimes called Kyrgyzstan, whose nature consists mainly of mountain ranges and valleys. The highest point is Mount Tomur (7439 m), the peak of which is known as Pobeda Peak.
Powerful mountain ranges and huge closed intermountain depressions are the determining factor in the formation of natural and climatic conditions. The main territory of the country has a temperate climate, but the southern part of Kyrgyzstan belongs to the subtropics, so the climate there is predominantly continental and dry. And each of the seasons has its own distinct features. In the foothill plains and in the valleys, summer is hot, while in the highlands it is cool and even cold.

On the territory of the country there are about 4000 species of representatives of the world of flora. The protected forests, located at an altitude of 2000-2500 meters, have various varieties of herbs and plants, including the beautiful Tien Shan spruce and edelweiss.
Among the representatives of wildlife, the number of which in Kyrgyzstan is represented by more than 500 species of individuals, there are animals listed in the Red Book. Red deer, snow leopard, bandage, Menzbier's marmot, gray monitor lizard, red wolf and Central Asian otter, and some other animals are on the verge of extinction, therefore, they are closely monitored by the nature protection societies of Kyrgyzstan in order to prevent the extinction of each of the species.
If you manage to get to 3,000 meters, you will surely be able to see some rare bird species.
Charming nature photos of Kyrgyzstan are a vivid confirmation of its unique and diverse ecosystem.
About 4.5% of the country's area, which is 761.3 thousand hectares, is under protection.
