History
At the beginning of 2015, two airlines merged: Turukhan (previously engaged in exclusively helicopter transportation) and KATEKAVIA (engaged in air transportation). The updated and enlarged airline was named "Turukhan" and belongs to UTair-Leasing LLC. Both carriers, merged into one company, have a rich history.
KATEKAVIA appeared in Sharypovo in 1995. By 2015, there were about 29 aircraft in the fleet. Most of them are property.
Turukhan Airlines was founded in 2001 and was considered the operator of MI-8 helicopters. It was created on the basis of the Turukhansk GUAP. Only in 2012 the company passed to UTair Group. Together with her, “the kit” included 15 own helicopters, as well as contracts for aviation work directly on the territory of the Turukhansk region.
In 2014, it was decided to merge these two air carriers in order to enlarge the business. The result was one operator "Turukhan". The merger process was completed by early 2015. Today the total staff of the company is 405 people. Of these, 312 people are flight technical personnel.
Turukhan Airlines: reviews
Turukhan Airlines customers often write reviews. There are both positive and negative aspects in the work of the company. Of the negative impressions - a small baggage allowance - up to 10 kg in one hand. Everything is within the normal range, however, shift workers often use the services of the airline, who are forced to take a much larger amount of luggage with them.
Passengers speak well of the airline staff. The flight attendants are always friendly and polite. And the pilots are undoubted professionals. If there are flight delays (this happens with charters), then no more than 15-20 minutes. At the same time, the plane usually arrives at the destination on time.
Especially praise the food on board. Even the most fastidious passengers are satisfied with quality products and a good selection of dishes. You can ask the flight attendant for drinks at any time. Their range is also quite extensive, despite the short flight range.
Turukhan Airlines carries out not only transportation within Russia. There are also charter flights abroad. It is noted that the price of tickets for such routes is somewhat lower than that of other air carriers, which is very valuable for those who travel in large companies orfamily.
