Lake Torbeevo: fishing and recreation

In the Moscow region there is Lake Torbeevo. Residents of the region like to come to its shores in order to get close to nature, take a break from the bustle of the city and gain energy. Where located

Lake Torbeevo is located in the Sergiev Posad district near the Yaroslavl highway. From Sergiev Posad itself, the lake is separated by a distance of 6 km. Many residents of the city regularly come to rest on this reservoir.

Description of the lake

Among the low hills is Lake Torbeevo. Previously, there was a small pond in its place, but after a dam was installed on the Vondig River, this wonderful place to relax was formed. The shallow lake stretches from the northwest to the southeast and its area is 1.5 km2. At the same time, the coastline stretched for almost seven kilometers. As already mentioned, the lake is shallow, only 5 meters.

In the summer, the surface of the water is goodwarms up, but the bottom is cool. Most likely, this phenomenon is associated with underwater springs.

The lake is picturesque, because it is surrounded by hills, on which rises a noble forest. There are reeds on the shore, but for people there are good sandy beaches that were made artificially.

Recreation on the pond

There is a well-organized children's camp on the shore. Hikes are held here, visits to monuments located in the city, and a good rest is provided, which is possible on Torbeevo (lake).

The recreation center includes equipped beaches with sun loungers, trestle beds, cottages, summer cafes. On the shore you can rent a boat or a catamaran. Volleyball, tennis, badminton, football, basketball are also popular here. It is possible to ride a buggy. If desired, vacationers order a sauna and stay overnight at the base. To access the equipped beach, you need to pay a small fee.

Where to walk

If you come to Lake Torbeevo for a few days, you will definitely want to take a walk around its environs. If you go in the direction of the river. Vondigi, after 6 km, not far from the village of Vzglyadnevo, you can see the Gremyachiy Klyuch waterfall. And on the other side, opposite this cascade, there is a wooden temple. You can also go to the hills that are visible from the shores of the lake. Delicious berries and edible mushrooms can be found in these forests.

Fishing on the lake

Going to these places, you can take fishing rods with youor spinning. Also for this purpose, you can specially come to Lake Torbeevo. Fishing in these waters brings pleasure to many, as large crucian live here. Although the entire territory is private property, those who like to sit with a fishing rod are treated loyally. Some fish for carp, especially if you go to a small bay and use a donkey for fishing. You can fish both from the shore and from a boat. Also in the lake live bream, ruff, roach, pike, perch. In these waters, fishermen come to “hunt” not only in summer, but also in winter.

In past years, there were indeed many fishermen here, but recently there have been fewer of them. Increasingly, they choose other water bodies for their leisure time. But why has everything changed?

Also, the reservoir is gradually shrinking, because of this, fishing from the shore is not available in all places. To stay with at least some catch, you need to use a boat.
