General information
The route passes through several regions (Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, Samara, Penza, Ryazan, Moscow). Its length is 1879 kilometers. There are both bypasses of large cities (Penza, Kuznetsk, Ryazan) and entrances (Samara, Ufa).

The M5 highway is in line for modernization, so it will soon turn into an autobahn.
The main problem is the roadbed. It breaks under the influence of natural conditions and heavy loads. Now only 35% of the track length complies with the regulations. The remaining 65% partially comply or are in generally unsatisfactory condition.
Dangerous areas
