Ostapovsky passage got its name thanks to Ostapovsky highway, which was formed by an official decree in 1920. Thirty years later, most of the latter became part of today's Volgogradsky Prospekt. At the same time, the government of a city like Moscow made Ostapovsky passage an integral part of the Ostapovsky highway. At the same time, according to archival documents, this road was named after one of the workers of the Dynamo electric machine building plant. According to currently available information, thisa man was killed by one of the officers in February 1917 during a demonstration at the corner of Vorontsovskaya and Taganskaya streets.

Drive directions

Ostapovsky passage starts from Volgogradsky prospect, and then goes towards the south-east. After a few kilometers, it passes directly over a section of one of the ring highways of the capital - the Third Ring Road. The passage ends next to the railroad tracks of the Kursk direction of the Moscow Railway.

Relatively recently, at a government meeting, a project for the construction of such an engineering structure as an overpass on Ostapovsky passage was officially approved. It will pass through the railway belonging to the Kursk direction of the Moscow Railway (Russia). Moscow (Ostapovsky Proezd is one of the busiest) will thus be able to significantly relieve the road section between Lyublinskaya Street and Volgogradsky Prospekt. Competent implementation of this project will make it possible to significantly improve the movement of cars on the territory of the entire South-Eastern District of the capital of the Russian Federation. At the same time, it should be especially noted that a separate place in the project is given to comments on the preservation of green spaces and the installation of special noise-protective windows in residential buildings located on this section of the road. In general, the construction of this overpass on Ostapovsky Proezd is part of a large-scale reconstruction project for the entire Volgogradsky Prospekt. All necessary changes are planned to be carried out during the period from 2013 to 2015. During this time, a tunnel will be laid under Lyublinskaya Street and a bridge structure will be erected at the intersection of Volzhsky Boulevard and Volgogradsky Prospekt.
