But from the complex of Louis the Fourteenth, only the composition remained here: the location of the palace on the bank of the pond, in which fish is bred for the court table. The external appearance of the palace is very laconic, and inside everything is subordinated to the functions of the premises. The Peterhof residence complex continued to be completed until the beginning of the 20th century. This is not a farm, but a small building for the imperial family, in which its members could do their daily chores. The building is made in the style of medieval English Gothic. The 19th century is a time when the royal family not only began to strive to live with parades and balls, but also wanted to be able to live an ordinary life. This was difficult to do in St. Petersburg, and Peterhof was perfect for this.
