Tivat Airport
The airport terminal, located 4 kilometers from the resort area known as Tivat, is one of the largest points for receiving international flights in all of Montenegro. The grand opening of the airport took place in 1971. With the entry into the new century, the local infrastructure has undergone modernization. As a result, the airport began to meet the latest international standards.
Montenegro Airport Tivat has a single terminal that covers an area of as much as 4057 m2. It accommodates 11 counters, where passengers are informed and registered. In close proximity is one of the largest airstrips in the country, which is 2.5 km long.
The main flow of passengers in the summeris heading here along the route Moscow - Tivat. With the beginning of the holiday season, there is also an influx of tourists from other CIS countries. During this period, the terminal switches to the mode of operation from 7 am until dusk. As for the functioning of the airport in winter, a clear schedule is set for this time of the year - from 7 am to 4 pm. In order to have time to fly from Tivat, it is recommended to arrive here a few hours before the desired departure time.
Airport in Podgorica
Observing the international airports of Montenegro, you should pay attention to another airport terminal, which has the status of the main one in the country. We are talking here about the point of reception of foreign flights, which is located at a distance of 11 km from the town of Podgorica.
During the year, about a million passengers pass through this airport. Thanks to its well-developed infrastructure, the presented air harbor has the status of one of the best small air terminals in the world.
Serves the airport in Podgorica not only international flights, but also provides flights within the country. It is most convenient to get from here to such famous resort towns as Budva and Cetinje.
In 2006, the airport was reorganized. Since the old terminal could no longer cope with the increased passenger flow, a new, more spacious complex was opened here. Its total area was more than 5000 m2. Numerous catering establishments, information centers, shoppingvenues.
There are bus stops at the exit of the new terminal, from where you can easily get to the capital for just 2.5 euros. A taxi in the same direction will cost about 15 euros here.
Unlike Tivat, the airport in Podgorica serves passengers around the clock. However, in order to catch your flight, you should arrive here at least an hour and a half before the scheduled landing.
Dolac Airport
Above we examined the international airports of Montenegro. Now let's move on to the list of local airports, where one of the main points for receiving domestic flights is the aviation harbor in the town of Dolac.
The above airport is located at a distance of 1 km from the resort town of Berane. As it has already become clear, the presented point serves exclusively liners that serve to transport passengers within the country.
The airport is not able to boast of a highly developed infrastructure. However, this is not required here, because the local airport terminal in the eyes of most passengers looks like only a small transfer point, which makes it easier to travel to the resort.
To have time to check in for a flight from Dolac airport, it is better to arrive here 2 hours before the expected departure. This will require the presentation of a ticket and passport. In cases where a passenger purchases an electronic ticket, they will only need to have an identity card with them.

Herceg Novi Airport
This airport, like the two previous ones, has a local significance. It is located about 5 kilometers from the village of the same name.
The presented air terminal deserves the attention of travelers only for one reason. The fact is that numerous buses run from here every day in the direction of one of the best resorts in the country - Dubrovnik. Therefore, it is recommended to purchase plane tickets to Herceg Novi for everyone who does not want to spend time on long journeys within the country by bus or car.
