Park of Friendship of Peoples - a city within a city

This natural complex can without exaggeration be called a real city, which is spread over a vast territory between the left and right banks of Kyiv. An island of wildlife was founded in 1972 on the island of Trukhanov, it became part of the Dnepropetrovsk park. A little later, the Muromets Island was included in the complex, and the total area of this protected area was almost 780 hectares. The vast expanses that the people of Kiev loved so much,received the symbolic name "Park of Friendship of Peoples". Kyiv for many centuries differed from other cities in the grandeur and unusualness of various buildings. This complex has been attracting for many years with its size and unique landscapes. An excellent overview that opens from the park area attracts vacationers from all over the city. It is divided into several parts:

In the process of laying the park, almost 15 hectares of various plants were planted, which was supposed to symbolize the unbreakable friendship between all the republics of the former USSR. Many parks in Kyiv were built to commemorate important events in the history of the state.

This is a living reminder to every person of the feat and courage of the defenders of the motherland during the Great Patriotic War. The memorial is an alley with the names of heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of the free people, their names are always honored by majestic Kyiv. The Park of Glory attracts and enchants its visitors with a unique panorama: the banks of the Dnieper are buried in greenery, and the gold of the Lavra churches dazzles with its splendor. A bit of history

The natural complex was founded in 1894, when it was named after commandant Anosov. It was this man who raised the money for its construction. But the fate of the park is rather complicated - it existed for a short 5 years and fell into decay, was abandoned. The people of Kiev arranged concerts here, then they laid out a cemetery, but nature made its own adjustments. A powerful landslide destroyed this complex. But already in 1957, a memorial of Eternal Glory was opened at this place - on May 9, thousands of people flock here to honor the memory of the fallen heroes. You can visit the Holodomor Museum, where you will discover the long-suffering history of Stalin's times.

This park is locatedone of the most successful viewing platforms in Kyiv: stock up on powerful binoculars and you will have a stunning view of the left bank of the city.

Victory Park

This park was born back in 1965, but in 2004 it underwent many changes, and now a beautiful picture opens up to your eyes, which amazes with its grandeur and beauty. The complex is a real symbol of history, which will tell about the glorious deeds of the heroes who defended the country from the fascist invaders. In the park you will see a memorial that tells about the main stages of the Great Patriotic War, get acquainted with the monument dedicated to the partisans who gave their lives in the defense of the city. The Mound of Immortality is a unique structure that all Kyiv is proud of. Victory Park has become a haven for a memorial, for the creation of which land was brought from many parts of the world where valiant Ukrainian soldiers fought.

But do not assume that there is nothing more to admire in this corner of nature: two wonderful lakes where ducks and swans live, graceful walking bridges, a stone park and many other attractions will appeal to every visitor.

Ferris wheel, attractions and entertainment programs, roller coasters - all these entertainments will bring a lot of pleasure to their guests.

The most modern monument (2013) can be considered a sculpture in honor of the defenders of the border of the Motherland - a border guard with a faithful dog.

Feofaniya Park

Do you want to visit a real natural masterpiece, where people managed to construct amazinglandscapes that captivate the eye? Then you just need to visit the Feofania park in Kyiv! Masters of landscape design are working on the creation and improvement of this corner of the city, so every year the park becomes more beautiful and better. Streams, fountains, lakes and small waterfalls - all this riot of nature attracts people here. After all, it is hard to imagine a better place for a relaxing walk. In addition, this complex boasts a real miracle - there is a pilgrimage trail that will lead you to the unique source of "Tears of the Mother of God". It is considered healing and relieves the most serious diseases. Nearby you can see another source - a pit, the edges of which are framed by a tree. The water here is very cold - only +8 in summer, but in winter it does not freeze.

But "Feofaniya" is not only a park for recreation, a majestic temple was once laid here, which was completely destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. But nowadays it is being actively restored, attracting not only believers, but also numerous tourists.

The park received the status of a monument in 1972, and in 1992 it was declared a protected area.

Partisan Glory Park

Another monument of the greatness of the city can be called the Park of Partisan Glory. Kyiv invites everyone to a cozy and very beautiful natural complex, which will become a favorite vacation spot. The main attraction of the complex can be called the Museum of Partisan Glory, near which an amphitheater was built formeetings of heroes and war veterans. There really is something to see here: a partisan arsenal, real dugouts, partisan fire and much more, monuments will plunge you into the valiant times of the heroes.

But in addition to the excursion into history, you can have a good rest in the park: entertainment programs, a wonderful forest, an amusement town, a decorative pool, a cinema, forest lakes.

Note that the park was laid out on the basis of an existing pine forest. The total area of the farm is 111.97 hectares. On such a vast territory, different types of park landscape are represented: meadow, forest, garden, park, lake.

Rope park

But this park was built for real extreme sports and outdoor enthusiasts. A unique place is part of the Park of Partisan Glory. Here you can have a great time, feel like a conqueror of peaks and revive the ancient instinct to conquer nature! Special rope ladders and ropes stretched high above ground level will allow you to enjoy the movement and play sports. Such entertainment is suitable for both experienced conquerors of heights and children. Various equipment allows you to perform tricks of varying complexity. ParkShevchenko

Kyiv's parks are very diverse, have different infrastructure and can boast of all kinds of entertainment. But one of the most comfortable complexes, perhaps, can be called Shevchenko Park. Kyiv has created a real masterpiece: despite its small size, this corner of nature has become a favorite vacation spot for citizens. The history of its creation is very interesting: it is located near the university, and when the emperor of Brazil, Don Pedro, visited this institution, he was horrified that such an unsightly wasteland flaunted near the main entrance of the institution, on which cows grazed. And so this square appeared, which was founded back in 1890.

The famous gardener Karl Christian very skillfully approached the arrangement of space. He was able to create a park that harmoniously connected with the botanical garden and emphasized the greatness of the university. Two alleys merged into a duet in the center of the park, and in 1896 a monument to Nicholas the First was erected here. Walking paths were decorated with sculptures made of white stone, they pleased the eye with their purity and grace. But in 1920, the Soviet authorities considered them a hotbed of vulgarity and destroyed them.

And only in 1939 a monument to the great writer Taras Shevchenko was erected here.

The main attraction is a unique fountain in the form of the Black Sea. The park has become a favorite place for amateur chess players; real tournaments take place here.
