Almost all of us just love to travel, explore the world and discover hitherto unknown destinations. And in this case, it is not so important where exactly we will go next time. It may well be both a fashionable foreign resort and a neighboring village. And some are even lucky to live in cities that can be explored indefinitely.
In Ukraine, Odessa is one of such amazing settlements (among the really huge number of amazing places). Shevchenko Park, the Potemkin Stairs, the building of the Sea Terminal, the Opera House and, perhaps, the world-famous street. Deribasovskaya is not a complete list of attractions that are ready to introduce each of us to the Pearl by the Sea.
Very often, when we travel, we take our little ones with us. And in this case, a completely logical question arises: “Will they get tired of the endless inspection of architectural monuments and trips to museums?” caringparents try to pre-select a whole list of places where it will be possible not only to entertain the child, but also to have a great time themselves. If we talk about such a Ukrainian city as Odessa, it is definitely impossible not to mention Shevchenko Park. Let's try to figure out why this corner attracts a huge number of visitors every year.
Section 1. Features of one attraction
First of all, it should be noted that the famous amusement park in Odessa (Shevchenko Park) is located on one of the oldest territories of this settlement. At first glance, it is even difficult to imagine that historical references to this place can be traced back to 1795, far from us. True, at that time the construction of a Russian fortress was begun here, represented today by a well-preserved and carefully restored arcade and a powder tower.
Now Shevchenko Park (Odessa), whose address is the intersection of important city arteries of Uspenskaya, Marazlievskaya and Lidersovsky Boulevard, is not so difficult to remember, is one of the greenest corners of the city. There are many shady alleys and winding paths, and in the most secluded corners you can find comfortable benches.
Section 2. How to get to Shevchenko Park (Odessa)
To get to your destination, judging by the feedback from visitors, you can easily. Moreover, it is pleasant to note that this can be done, significantly saving on the trip.
Perhaps, you should immediately warn that taking a taxi is definitely notcosts. Public transport in the city is excellent.
Those who do not want to spend money can recommend tram number 28 or trolleybuses number 2 and number 3. The fare in them is 10 rubles. Conductors work in the salons, and stops are announced, so it’s unlikely to get lost.
It is pleasant to note that in such a fairly large city as Odessa, Shevchenko Park is also located at the intersection of several routes of fixed-route taxis at once. The most convenient are No. 203 and No. 233. The fare is 20 rubles. We note right away that in South Palmyra it is customary to pay the driver at the exit, stops are made mainly on demand, so it’s better to say right away that you need the Odessa amusement park (Shevchenko Park). Photos of this place, in principle, can be seen in all guidebooks, so you will definitely have a visual representation, which means you will not get lost.
Section 3. How did it all begin? History of this place
I should warn you right away that it will definitely not be possible to reveal this question in a few words.
After the end of the Russian-Turkish war, the border from this place was moved a considerable distance, which means that the need for a fortress quickly disappeared. Most likely, this territory would have fallen into decay quite quickly if it were not for the plan of a well-known architect at that time named F. K. Boffo. It was he who, in 1840, made the decision to lay numerous alleys here, plant trees and strengthen the cliffs.
But, unfortunately,Shevchenko Park (Odessa), the photo of which now attracts every traveler, did not wait for the proper care. He quickly falls into disrepute, with robberies and even murders taking place on his dark alleys.
Reconstruction started only in 1875. After the territory was re-ennobled, the park became known as Aleksandrovsky in honor of the emperor who visited the city in those years.
Section 4. What awaits guests today?
At the moment, as the reviews say, the amusement park is equipped according to the latest requirements of scientific progress. Here at any time of the year there will be activities for the liking of both young and adult visitors. For example, kids will be able to feel like real racers on electric cars, ride on colorful carousels or run around in mazes. Throughout the time, kids are entertained by funny memes, clowns and characters from cartoons they have already fallen in love with. You can take pictures with them absolutely free of charge.
Teenagers and adults are simply delighted with the roller coaster, dashing turns which can provide a real adrenaline rush. Are you saying that you are not afraid of anything? Then tickle your nerves in the fear room. This place can scare even the most desperate!
Those who want to test their dexterity, accuracy and strength can do it on rides like the Bomber.
Section 5. Highlight of the famous park
The real attraction of this placecan be considered the Ferris wheel that opened in 2011 under the characteristic name "South Palmyra". The structure itself was made in Switzerland and weighs about 160 tons.
Paying about 200 rubles, you can make three circles. This attraction is not to be missed. Just imagine what a unique view opens from the top points. Finding themselves at the height of a bird's flight, travelers get acquainted with a completely different Pearl. The boundless Black Sea, Shevchenko Park (Odessa) - at a glance, cargo ships standing in the roadstead, a lighthouse, a hotel at the seaport and endless Odessa streets cannot but amaze the imagination of even the most seasoned travelers.
Section 6. How safe are these rides?
Of course, this question cannot but worry. The park administration is proud to announce that test trials are held here regularly. For this, a whole staff of employees is hired. If necessary, they resort to the services of foreign specialists.
If you wish, parents can view documents guaranteeing the use of environmentally friendly materials for the production of all carousels and attractions without exception. That is, for your own safety, as well as for the he alth of babies, you can not worry.
Section 7. Touching Zoo, Odessa, Shevchenko Park
To be honest, it is simply impossible not to visit this place. Who refuses to look at the cutest and most friendly representatives of modern fauna? Guests, judging by the numerous reviews, happy to meet tiny pigeons, pygmy hedgehogs, soft-bodied turtles and various types of reptiles.
Positive emotions can also give guinea pigs, opossums, rabbits and flying dogs.
