Travelers consider Anapa the most convenient starting point for a trip to the Crimea. Railway routes from all over the country flock here. Bus transport and ships depart from here. If we connect the Anapa-Y alta points on the map, the distance will be 401 km, taking into account the length of the Kerch Strait. This path is overcome in 6.5–7 hours.
Why go to Crimea
This is Feodosia and Sevastopol, Evpatoria and Bakhchisaray, Y alta and a wonderful mild climate. It is warm there even in winter, there are apples and plums, there is a sea that never freezes, there is the Swallow's Nest and many more interesting things. In mid-February, the Crimean Tourist Center is holding an exhibition in Y alta to present the tourism opportunities of the region, dedicated to the features and conditions of the 2016 holiday season. The event is supported by the relevant ministry of the Russian Federation. More than 500 sanatorium-resort organizations of the peninsula, about 300 travel companies and mass media from Russian regions were announced among the participants.

The "Pearl" of the South Coast is called the oldest he alth resort - the city of Y alta, founded in the 1st century AD. e. Natural beauties, interesting history, pebble coast and many beaches, sanatoriums and resorts, guest houses await vacationers in the new season.
Anapa, Y alta - cities whose shores are washed by the waters of one sea. And you can get from one point to another in various ways:
- by plane;
- on a steamboat, that is, a ferry or a catamaran;
- by bus;
- by car.
Look to the future: the road along the bottom of the strait
According to the global plans for the restoration of the region, at the end of 2018 it is planned to build and open a tunnel that will run along the bottom of the Kerch Strait. Such a transition will consist of two independent, but interconnected tunnels with emergency locks. A two-lane highway with a length of 14.7 km will be laid for each. Then the bus will cover the distance between the cities of Anapa-Y alta in 3-4 hours without transferring passengers to ferries or catamarans. And until then, you have to use combined modes of transport.
Details of the Anapa–Y alta route
More than 10 regular flights are carried out daily and at night from the bus stations of the city in the direction of Crimea. After arriving at one of the Anapa stations, tourists take a bus to the port of the Caucasus. From here, they cross the strait by ferry and then again by bus they follow toselected city on the peninsula. For such a trip, you can purchase both a single ticket, paying for all types of transport at once, and a regular ticket.
From the airport to the ferry, tourists get by taxi or a suitable flight, then - a ferry crossing to Kerch. Next choice: public transport or taxi.
Isn't it easier to swim only on water?
Two high-speed catamarans operated daily Anapa-Y alta flights via Feodosia last year. One ship can comfortably accommodate 300 passengers. Each is allowed to carry up to 36 kg of cargo. For children under the age of 1 year travel is free. In the new season, it became possible to order tickets for this transport via the Internet. However, catamarans now make flights only to Feodosia. Modern high-speed vessels are equipped with air conditioners, TVs, comfortable seats. You can walk along the deck while swimming. Further, the Anapa-Y alta route by sea has been canceled for the time being due to insufficient cost recovery. Vacationers get to the final destination from Feodosia by car in 2.5–3 hours. With an increase in passenger traffic in this direction, the route can be launched again.
