Dalnevostochny Prospekt St. Petersburg is one of the main highways on the right bank of the Nevsky District. The main part of this area of St. Petersburg is called the "Vesely Poselok". This historical part of the city, located on the section from the Neva to Novoselov Street, includes Far East Avenue, Kollontai, Dybenko Streets, Bolshevik Avenue and a number of others. There are several versions of the origin of the name of this area. According to one, gypsy camps stopped in this territory, according to another, it came from the name of the German settlement, called the "Merry Colony".
History
Dalnevostochny Prospekt, which is a continuation of Novocherkassky Prospekt, starting from Zolnaya Street and ending with Bolshevik Prospekt, is the main transport channel of Vesely Settlement. Trolleybus, bus (commercial and social) routes pass along it, in the center, between two-way three-lane traffic, on a special dedicated canvastram lines are located.
Far Eastern Avenue got its name in honor of the Far Eastern Territory. For 16 years, from 1940 to 1956, it was a segment from Republicanskaya to Granitnaya streets and was part of Novocherkassky Prospekt. Only in 1962 this name was given to a new avenue, stretching along the right bank of the Nevsky district.
Modernity
A large number of institutions are located at the postal address: Russia, St. Petersburg, Far East Avenue. Including commercial and social purposes. On the section from Kollontai street to Podvoisky street there are a number of large shopping malls.

In addition, Dalnevostochny Prospekt is the address of the courtyard of the Alexander-Svirsky Monastery, the Nevsky Memorial "Cranes", dedicated to the inhabitants of besieged Leningrad, the Kinoveevsky cemetery and educational institutions: the Marine Lyceum and the Lyceum of Traditional Culture.
New buildings
Until 2009, residential buildings were located only from Antonova-Ovseenko Street to Telman Street. To the leftside (from Zolnaya street to Podvoisky street) there was an ash dump. However, in 2007, at the intersection where Dalnevostochny Prospekt intersects with Kollontai and Badaeva streets, the Temp construction company began construction of a new residential complex, which includes 5 multi-storey brick and panel houses. There are other construction companies in the area today. Large residential complexes "Aurora" and "Vostok" were built and put into operation. Every year the development of the territory of the former ash dump continues. In 2012, the garages located on the site along Far East Avenue to Kollontai Street were demolished, a huge amount of cubic meters of land was removed, and the construction of the Rio Housing Complex and social institutions began.
