Spain is a country where a huge number of tourists come every year. The hot sun, numerous beaches, developed infrastructure, local flavor - all this attracts travelers from different parts of the world.
I would like to pay special attention to the famous resort of Salou. This place is very popular with tourists. The Mediterranean coast is covered with soft sand. The beaches of Salou look like wide sandy strips warmed by the sun's rays. For those who do not like large crowds, we recommend relaxing in small bays, which are hidden from prying eyes among coastal rocks and pines.
Salou Beaches
All beaches are public, so everyone can swim here. There are no coastal areas in this region that would belong to hotels. There are at least 5 beaches in Salou, three more are located in the town of Cap Salou. During the holiday season, it is very crowded here, so for lovers of secluded relaxation, it is better to choose small bays. Unlike large beaches, their infrastructure is poorly developed. In the bays you can rentsun umbrella and sun lounger. There are some water activities, a bar and a toilet. These beaches include Penya, Font, Cranc, Tallada and others.
The most popular are Levante, Capellanes, Llarga, Peña Tagliada, Ponent. Let's talk about these beaches in more detail.
Characteristic of beaches
If you decide to go on vacation to the Mediterranean Sea, you should give preference to the beaches of Salou (Spain). Photos of the coastal zone make it possible to appreciate the beauty of these places.
There are no closed or private beaches in Salou, they all belong to the municipality of the city. The coast area is cleaned daily, so this resort is considered one of the cleanest. The beaches and the bottom of the sea are mostly sandy, so it is quite safe to relax here with children. Entering the water is very convenient, as the descent is gentle and there are no stones. There are no currents near the shore, so the sea is calm and warm for most of the holiday season.
The coastal area has been landscaped: there are showers and toilets. Along the coast there are bars, cafes, hotel complexes, as well as rental services.
Levante Central Beach
The length of the largest beach is 1 km 200 m. On the one hand, it borders on the port, on the other hand, there is a stone cape. This is one of the most crowded and noisy places. Despite the large influx of tourists, this Salou beach is impeccably clean. There are many activities for small children. All along the coast there are rental services, cafeterias, bars, etc. On the Jaime I pedestrian boulevard, you can see tall palm trees and fountains. They decorate this recreational area, which stretches along the entire Levante beach.
Rescuers are constantly watching the vacationers. The beach has good conditions for people with disabilities, so that people with disabilities can also relax here.
Since there is no natural shade on the coast, you can hide from the sun's rays only under an awning or an umbrella. The cost of a sun lounger with a canopy will be about 12 euros.
There are comfortable hotels near the beach (Las Vegas, Blaumar, etc.), but they do not have direct access to the Mediterranean Sea, as they are separated from the coast by a boulevard and a road.
Ponent - the second largest beach
This coast is an ideal place for families with small children, as there is a long shallow water, and the descent into the water is gentle. Although the beach is quite large, there are much fewer vacationers here, and therefore the cost of some services is cheaper. So, for example, rent two sun loungers and one umbrella for a price of no more than 10 euros.
This Salou beach is located between the local port and the city of Cambrils.
First line hotels near the coast have little access to the sea.
Peña Tagliada Beach
This is a small bay with a sandy beach, the length of which is not more than 125 m. The place is surrounded by rocks and pine trees. The beach rightfully bears the name of the wildest coast. Nearby hotels include Hotel Best Complejo Negresco and Sun ClubSalou.
Capellans Beach Salou
The photos of this cozy corner surprise with an incredible picturesque view. The beach has a length of no more than 200 m. It is surrounded by rocks and pine trees. To go down to the beach, you need to overcome the stairs with numerous steps. Resting with children is somewhat problematic, since the entrance to the sea has a steep descent, although the seabed itself is flat. There are a lot of stones along the edges of the beach, which also causes some inconvenience. There are bars and rental services on the coast. You can rent a sun lounger for 5 euros. There are water activities, children's swings and a slide. The beach is equipped with toilets and showers.
Reviews of tourists
Vacation in Spain will appeal to almost everyone. Reviews about the beaches of Salou are positive. Many tourists who have visited these places wish to come here again. The maximum number of positive reviews received the picturesque beach of Llarga. Its length is about 600 m. It fascinates with its landscapes. The beach is located in one of the bays of Cap Salou. It is surrounded by pine trees, a variety of palms, cacti and junipers. In strong heat, you can hide from the burning rays of the sun in the shade of coastal plants.
