Incidents
In 1942, one of the planes that took off from Dushanbe airport made an emergency landing. The pilot and six passengers were on board. All survived, although only the fuselage remained of the ship. After staying at the site for just under two weeks, the pilot and three men set off in search of housing. One of the passengers in the process fell into the gorge and died. There was a woman with two children on the plane. Having found shelter, none of the men remembered them. When the wreckage of the plane was discovered, which happened a few months later, only a woman was found alive - the children died of starvation. A criminal case was initiated, and all the men (including the pilot) were sentenced to different punishments.
In 1993, a plane en route to Dushanbe Airport crashed during takeoff. At that time, there was a war on the territory of Tajikistan. The militants, under pressure on the crew, put 81 people on the ship, although the plane was designed for only 28. Due to overload, the vehicle did not take off, but continued to move. The plane left the runway at high speedcollided with a ditch parapet, then a boulder. After 60 meters, the ship hit a concrete pillbox and fell into the river. The entire crew and 77 passengers died.
These incidents happened before the 19th century. All accidents, except for the two described, happened due to the negligence of the crew. Now Dushanbe Airport inspires confidence, as no such situations happen.
Reviews
There are enough negative reviews. Everyone talks about demanding money openly. Often they take the passport and do not give it back. Workers seize items and products, even those that are not included in the list of prohibited items. Unfortunately, Dushanbe Airport (reviews confirm this) is an institution where service is at a low level.
