Favorite place of Russian artists and writers

Where Fili Park is located today, in its western part on the right bank of the Moskva River, on a cape formed by two ravines, there was the oldest earthen fortress in the capital. Writers Herzen, Karamzin, Leo Tolstoy, Ogarev and Turgenev, composer Tchaikovsky walked here. In this place was the dacha of P. Tretyakov, the creator of the art gallery of the same name, where many famous artists of the nineteenth century lived for a long time - Savrasov, Kramskoy, Perov.

Park "Fili" is not only a historical place where peace reigns, but also unique plants, animals, as well as an old manor and a large complex for entertainment, including outdoor activities. It is not for nothing that it is called a separate state in Moscow.

Fili Park is one of the few places in Russia where extreme sports enthusiasts soar above the ground on ropes at a height of twenty meters. Rope adventure complex "Panda" is great for competitions. It consists of five routes with a total length of almost six hundred meters. This climbing wall, the highest route in Russia, has an average climbing time of two and a half hours.

Mega-town also operates here. This is the so-called Fili children's park - a playground, there are also tubing tracks, zorbing and a 5D cinema.

Many outdoor enthusiasts come here too. After all, all conditions have been created here for this: yoga, Nordic walking, bike rental in summer and skates and skis in winter.

The Filka Art Studio organizes leisure activities for all those who are already tired of sittingin front of the computer. You can come here alone or with the whole family, including children.

Dance lessons, painting, marathons, yoga, jogging - all this distracts from technological progress. And recently a school was opened here, where they teachreal Jedi. The saberfighting studio recruits applicants in different age groups. Classes in all studios are free of charge.

In the central part of the park there are rides and playgrounds. In numerous cafes you can have a bite to eat or drink a cup of espresso. On the territory there is also an equipped beach with a boat station. Limes and pines, oaks and birches, and even elms grow everywhere.

There is an open cinema in the park, where the best foreign and Russian films are shown.

From the pier on the boat, you can travel daily along the circular route from the Fili Park through Nizhniye Mnevniki and the Western Port to the Bagration Bridge and Moscow City and back.

For animal lovers

There is a real stable in Fili Park. Anyone who loves horse riding can not only ride horses, but also take care of the one they like and take care of it.

In addition, there is a mini-zoo, where you can even get close to pets. Fili Park was one of the first to organize a movement under the slogan “Feed the squirrel!”. Since these animals cannot be fed s alted nuts or roasted seeds, special food is sold in numerous cafes and stalls on the territory.

Cursed Place

One of the sights of the park is Kuntsevskoye settlement - one of the most ancient fortified settlements found on the territory of Moscow. Its earthen rampart and ditch are perfectly preserved. During the excavations, not only traces ofpalisades and the remains of various buildings, including residential ones, but also earlier finds dating back to the Dyakovo culture.

On the territory of the settlement, called the "cursed place", archaeologists found metal jewelry, casting tools, and bone products. In the eleventh-thirteenth centuries, this territory was inhabited by the Vyatichi Slavs, as evidenced by the mounds that have survived to this day. Later, from the thirteenth to the sixteenth centuries, the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin operated here. However, at the beginning of the seventeenth century, the settlement was devastated as a result of the Polish invasion.

Naryshkin Estate

The current Fili Park in the middle of the seventeenth century was the protected hunting ground of the sovereign Alexei Mikhailovich. In the late eighties, Peter the Great transferred these lands to his uncle. For one hundred and seventy-five years, the Naryshkin family owned them.

Here is also the famous estate of this famous family, the last owner of which was K. Soldatenkov, a we althy book publisher. Over the years, it was visited by Alexei Mikhailovich and Empress Catherine II, even the Prussian King Frederick William III came here.

Fili Park: how to get there

This is a place where many Muscovites come to relax with pleasure, located in the Western Administrative District. You can get to it by metro. From the Fili station it is only ten minutes walk along Novozavodskaya street, from Bagrationovskaya - only a quarter of an hour.

Nature

Park "Fili" is considered the largest massif of deciduous forest that exists in the western partcapital Cities. The rich flora and fauna are perfectly preserved here. Centenary lindens, 150-year-old oaks, as well as maple plantations and birch forests grow in the park. From the pine forests spread in these places, old-timers, whose age has exceeded one hundred and thirty years, are still preserved. There is also thisthe same old summer elm. The apple orchard is well preserved. In addition, "foreign" plants, more than one hundred and twenty species of mosses and ninety varieties of birds and animals are represented in large numbers in the park.

Park today

Fili Park, whose photo can be seen on the official website, was a nature reserve until 1964. And then work began here on the creation of a national cultural-historical and natural-landscape complex. Until the seventies of the last century, moose were still found on its territory, and many Muscovites specially came here to pick mushrooms, of which there were a lot. But already in 1978, the park was declared a monument of garden and park art.

In the year of the celebration of the eight hundred and fiftieth anniversary of Moscow, a historical and ethnographic center called the "City of Masters" was opened on the site of the old settlement.

Today Fili Park has been completely transformed. Saplings of the rarest trees and shrubs are pleasing to the eye. Here, new flower beds or lawns are broken every year, playgrounds for games are opened and sports simulators are added. Both forest paths and places for recreation are constantly being improved.

The infrastructure of Fili Park is organized in such a way that visitors can choose a pastime for every taste: from passive contemplation of the surrounding nature to the most active recreation.
