A reserved seat costs an order of magnitude cheaper than a compartment car. But you can comfortably stay in it for the night and, if you're lucky, get enough sleep.

Although it cannot be said that it is very uncomfortable to ride in it. All the same shelves, walls, a table and a conductor with tea. Why reserved seat?

The name of the car comes from the reserved seat. Previously, this was the name of the card with the designation of the seat, which passengers received in addition to the main ticket.
