It's vacation time. Where to spend warm summer days for the benefit of yourself and without huge losses in your wallet? The choice falls on the Crimean resorts. Domestic cities that receive tourists for recreation sometimes even better than foreign ones. One of the beautiful resorts in the Crimea is Evpatoria. The wonderful city is located on the Black Sea coast in the Kalamitsky Bay. And how to get to Evpatoria from anywhere in the world?
A bit of history
Archaeological excavations claim that people lived on the territory of the modern city as early as the 3rd millennium BC. e. 4th century BC e. became the period when a wonderful Greek city-state called Kerkentida was built on the shores of the Kalamitsky Bay. Later this territory became part of the Kherson state. In the 15th century, the Crimean Tatars seized the state and renamed Kerkentida Gezlev.
Very little time passed, and according to the Kuchuk-Kainarji Treaty, the city was ceded to the Russian Empire. Catherine II, who ruled at that time, signed a decree renaming Gezlev to Yevpatoria and granting the city the status of a county. The beginning of the 19th century wasthe opening of a major seaport in this part of the Black Sea. A few decades later, the resort "industry" began to develop here. This was facilitated by the mild climate, unique therapeutic mud, an incredible number of sandy beaches, healing springs with mineral waters. It is from the end of the 19th century that the history of Evpatoria as a resort city begins.
Yevpatoria: dream resort
This city is considered one of the most famous in the post-Soviet space and the most visited by tourists during the season. If there are about 140 thousand local residents, then in the summer there are 5-8 more vacationers. Here you can not only have a great rest, and the costs will not be too high (it all depends on the capabilities and appetites of the traveler), but also improve your he alth thanks to the numerous healing springs and mud clinics.
The only questions to be resolved are:
- how to get to Evpatoria;
- how much money to prepare for the trip;
- what to take with you in your luggage;
- how much will it cost to live.
Many sanatoriums and hotels, hotels and boarding houses, private apartments and cottages have been built in the city. The latter, by the way, are very popular. Of course, you need to take into account that the closer to the sea a house or apartment is, the more expensive it will be. And in addition to relaxing on the beach, tourists will be interested in visiting architectural, cultural and natural monuments. So the vacation will be beneficial for both the soul and the body.
How to come toEvpatoria?
Decided to relax in this wonderful resort. How to get to Evpatoria? Of course, you can come, arrive and fly by any mode of transport. But it is best to buy a train ticket to Evpatoria. In this case, Simferopol will become a transit point. The distance from here to the resort town is about 76 km. Some cities of the post-Soviet space have established a direct railway connection with Evpatoria. So, from Brest, Minsk, Kharkov, Vitebsk, St. Petersburg, Dnepropetrovsk, Moscow, you can get to the desired resort. Otherwise, you will have to go to Evpatoria with transfers.
However, if rail transport is a burden for the traveler, then you can use the "services" of a bus, train, taxi or your own car. I am glad that the transport interchange here is very well developed, so travelers do not have time to get bored at the station.
As such, the plane does not arrive in Evpatoria. On this type of transport you can again get to Simferopol. An unpleasant surprise for tourists can be the fact that liners arrive in this city only from Tashkent, Moscow, Kyiv, Tbilisi. That is, the number of cities sending travelers to Simferopol is limited.
Some useful travel tips
The most budgetary way to get to the cherished resort is considered to be the train on the route Simferopol - Evpatoria. There are not many flights during the day, but the schedule is well-organized. Departure time: morning, afternoon, evening. The duration of the trip is about 2 hours.
Every 10-20 minutes buses and minibuses depart from the Kurortnaya bus station. I am glad that this type of transport runs on the route Simferopol - Evpatoria all year round. Travel time is approximately 1.5 hours.
If someone did not dare to use public transport, then he is faced with the acute question of how to get to Evpatoria, if not by rail or by bus. The surest way out is to order a taxi. Moreover, the fare from the service operator will be fixed, and private cab drivers can request at least 1,000 rubles, if not more.
