It is for this reason that more and more people are choosing original tours, visiting ruined castles, abandoned military installations and various mystical places. What is interesting about them, and why do they attract more and more new guests?

From the past to the present

There are abandoned military facilities in every country, but in Russia there are a great many of them. The legacy of the military power of the Soviet Union in the modern state turned out to be of little use and quickly fell into decay. Today, entire cities and military garrisons remain open only to rain and winds, being destroyed more and more every year. Most of the objects werefrozen during the perestroika period, but some of them were abandoned much later. Many objects have received the right to a second life, and real museums have been organized on the site of the forgotten ruins, which can be visited by lovers of extreme sensations.

Abandoned military facilities near Moscow are visited by the new generation of tourists most often. Some of them have existed for several decades, others have appeared quite recently. One of these new facilities is a town located just 100 kilometers from Moscow. To get into it, you will have to endure a 100-kilometer path along the Volokolamsk highway. This closed military unit was created near the settlement of Fedorovka for the needs of the missile-launching complex. With the greatest desire, you will not be able to find it on any maps. The city has a small size and consists of almost collapsed five-story houses, which were previously inhabited by military personnel. In addition to them, there are economic and administrative buildings in the settlement. The military town was abandoned in 2005 for unknown reasons and is relatively well preserved.

Some abandoned military installations in the former Soviet Union deserve special attention. The abandoned submarine base on the territory of the Crimean city of Balaklava is truly special. Repair of submarines is carried out on its territory, as well as storage of significantstockpiles of weapons. The base was a powerful, fortified complex that could withstand almost any hostilities, withstand massive bombardments and the use of nuclear weapons. In 1993, the sensitive facility was completely abandoned. Hundreds of thrill-seekers rushed to places where only professional military men could be before. Abandoned military facilities, photos of which are often found in sources, are rarely provided with a description. The thing is that it is sometimes almost impossible to determine their true purpose. One of these bases is an abandoned part on the Kaluga highway near the village of Voronovo. The object is located in a quiet and picturesque place, which is not at all easy to get to, there are no good roads and clear signs. The bunker is located in an overgrown pit, so it is not immediately noticeable. The ruins of buildings are overgrown with strong trees, and in spring and summer they are almost buried in greenery. On the military territory there are mines, residential barracks, electrical substations. There is no exact information about the purpose for which this bunker was created. Near the object many years ago there were also railway tracks, which have now become completely unusable.

Military strength in wildlife

It is located almost at the very intersection of the Minsk highway and the Great Moscow ring, away from the busy highway. Unfortunately, every year their number grows more and more.

Military facilities in Belarus

Abandoned military facilities in Belarus are also found at every turn. The most famous is the combination of several dozen towers rising into the sky to a height of about 350 meters. Climbing them is not an easy task, only desperate and physically hardy people who are not afraid of the wind, constant movement and a solid height can decide on it. Climbing one of the towers can take at least 2 hours, but it's worth it. The view of the surrounding area opens for many kilometers.
