Today Khakassia has become one of the most popular tourist destinations. Khakassia is located in the southwest of Eastern Siberia. The length of its territory is four hundred and sixty kilometers. The region is also very interesting for fans of speleotourism: there are more than one hundred and sixty caves on the territory.

Lake Shira

Lake Shira, located in the Minusinsk Basin, one hundred and sixty kilometers from Abakan, has a maximum depth of twenty meters. Its bottom rises in ledges to gently sloping shores covered with pebbles and a layer of sand, as a result of which quite comfortable beaches are formed. The mineral water of the lake with a high concentration of s alts and silt mud have healing properties.

The healing power of Lake Shira is mentioned in ancient Khakas tales and legends. The first vacationers came here in 1873. After excellent results of treatment, the popularity of the reservoir began to grow. And in 1891 the authorities openedhere is the first resort in the province, and today Lake Shira has become one of the most famous treatment areas in Siberia. On its shore there is a year-round sanatorium for 910 people. In summer, patients come here for the treatment of glaucoma. There is also a children's medical institution that accepts children from the age of six.

Bele Lake

This tectonic reservoir is located eight kilometers north of the Shire. It is considered the largest mineral lake not only in Khakassia, but throughout Eastern Siberia. One half of the reservoir - the western - is more fresh, while the eastern is close to the sea. The composition of the water is dominated by Glauber's s alt, which is why it is jokingly called the "great laxative".

Where to stay

Come to relax on the picturesque shores of such an amazing reservoir as Lake Bele! Khakassia, which has recreation centers everywhere, is famous for its protected, ecologically clean areas where you can have a great time and improve your he alth. Bele is just such a place. Despite the strong mineralization, fish is found in the lake, albeit in small quantities. Basically, this is a perch sailing from the Tuim River. Currently, work has begun on breeding trout and chum salmon. In addition to fishing, rest on Bela (Khakassia) can be supplemented with kitesurfing.

There is a base on the shore of the reservoir, which is called “Lake Bele”. It offers accommodation in separate campsites, designed for twelve places. The territory also hasa volleyball court, cafes and kiosks, a parking lot and a sports equipment rental point. The campsites have a specially equipped kitchen with an electric stove, refrigerator, kettle and crockery. The cost of renting one campsite starts from seven thousand rubles per day.

Lake Tus

Those who have skin diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, women's problems of a gynecological nature come to this reservoir. There are also many who simply want to support their immunity by using relaxation methods to relieve stress. What does Lake Tus (Khakassia) offer tourists? The recreation center "Voskhod" is perhaps the best of those that are located along the banks of the reservoir. Here, vacationers are given the opportunity not only to live on the shore of the lake, the water of which is sulfate-chloride and magnesium-sodium in composition, containing a large number of microcomponents, but also to admire the relic mountains.

Comfortable accommodation in summer cottages, equipped with everything necessary for a normal holiday: a stove, refrigerator, dishes, bed linen - will cost guests in the amount of ten thousand rubles per day for two. Tourists who are not accustomed to "resort-field" conditions can rent a house with all amenities, including a bathroom and shower.
