Now you rarely meet someone who has never in his life heard about such stops of the metropolitan subway as "Revolution Square", "Sparrow Hills", "Tsvetnoy Bulvar", "Arbatskaya", "Tsaritsyno". The metro in Moscow is generally very popular, both among Muscovites themselves and among guests of the capital, but still some stations are considered more in demand.

Why? There are plenty of reasons to be found. For example, tourists come to the first four of the above in large numbers to get acquainted with local sights, but residents of the capital, especially on fine warm days, adore the Tsaritsyno park (the metro station located here has the same name).

We'll talk about the last metro station of the capital today. What is her story? Does she have any unique features that make her different from everyone else?

Section 1. Location Features

Tsaritsyno metro station isintermediate on the Zamoskvoretskaya line of the Moscow metro. In principle, anyone who has at least a superficial idea of the city knows that it is located in the district of the same name, which is part of the Southern Administrative District of the capital.

Section 2. History of the station and name

Station "Tsaritsyno" - the metro, which was opened on the section "Kashirskaya" - "Orekhovo" just on the eve of the coming new year 1985. Now, few people remember that this opening ceremony got into the plots of New Year's TV programs. Everything was festive and pretentious.

However, already on January 1st, the station was temporarily suspended. The fact is that on the segment "Tsaritsyno" - "Orekhovo" there was a flood, which had to be immediately eliminated. Early on a festive morning, a train driver noticed a tunnel wall cracking right in front of him. Fortunately, there were no casu alties, but the repair dragged on for almost a month. Again, trains went through this section only on February 9th. In general, it should be noted that various rumors are associated with the section of the metro line near the Tsaritsyno station, since the number of emergencies in this area is much higher compared to others.

Today's station name was originally planned, at the design stage. It simply could not be otherwise, because the cozy Tsaritsyno Park and the historically stunning museum-reserve of the same name are located very close.

However, since in the 80s of the now last century, a hugea residential area called Lenino-Dachnoye, the stations were given the name "Lenino".

The current name was assigned to the station on November 5, 1990. In the process of renaming, we decided to use some of the letters of the old inscription, and if you look closely, you can see that the letters "I", "H" and "O", located above the central entrance are slightly different from others.

Section 3. Attractions and ground infrastructure

As mentioned above, the Tsaritsyno metro (the map shows it perfectly: one of the stops on the green line) is very popular.

All this is observed thanks to the architectural monuments located on the surface. One of the sights, which, by the way, the station owes its current name to, is the Tsaritsyno palace complex, which was founded under Empress Catherine II. However, its construction was completed only at the beginning of the 19th century.

In general, it should be noted that the park of the complex is located between the metro stations "Tsaritsyno" and "Orekhovo", but still the main, or, as it is called here, the central, entrance is located just near the first one.

Muscovites and guests of the capital love to visit the famous gazebo, which is called the "Golden Sheaf" or "Temple of Ceres". By the way, during the revolutionary years it was half destroyed and restored only after a large-scale restoration.

The alleys also had to be reconstructed. After the completion of all repair work, it was decided to install several sculptures in the park.

Tsaritsyno station -subway is weird. It can introduce everyone to the remnants of the distant past. Although the ruins of the tower are the only partially preserved structures, they can be considered quite original examples of the park architecture of the complex.

Behind the grape gates is a building decorated with two-headed imperial eagles. This is a middle palace, still called the opera house. By the way, even today concerts are often held in it.

Section 4. Useful information and interesting facts

The Moscow metro is rightfully considered one of the most convenient and technically equipped in the world. The Tsaritsyno metro station is no exception. Moscow seems to be doing everything possible and impossible to ensure that the passenger reaches his destination with maximum comfort.

The building opens for visitors at 5:30 am. Work ends at 1 am.

There is a mobile connection on the territory of the station. MTS, Beeline and Megafon operators are supported.

The entire Tsaritsyno area, where the station of the same name is located, is located in the zone of geopathogenic anomaly. For reasons that are still inexplicable, it is in this area that problems related to electricity supply and flooding occur especially often.

According to some researchers, this is a geopathic zone of natural origin, and all the so-called mysterious events occur due to the movement of water flows along the zones of discontinuous disturbances and once buried channels. Employeescomplex of gardens and parks note that during working hours, being on the territory, they feel as if in another world.

Section 5. Development prospects

In the passage behind the turnstiles there is a translucent glass door that leads to the east exit, which is not yet operational. Outside you can see a stepped descent. It is closed with an iron plate on top. From some sources there was information that it was planned to organize a bus stop there, the final one for flights to Biryulyovo. Later, the project was canceled, but there is a possibility that this idea will be returned.
