Cheboksary, the capital of the Chuvash Republic, is a very beautiful city. It attracts tourists not only with historically interesting places and attractions, but also with natural beauties in the city. Not every modern urbanized capital in our country can afford to have this we alth (and be proud of it).
Parks and squares in Cheboksary
On 250 square kilometers of Cheboksary there are several dozen large green parks, small but beautiful squares, beautiful alleys, gardens and even several natural groves. All this pleases the eyes of local residents and surprises guests of the capital. Parks and squares are special places for recreation, walking and outdoor activities. They remind of closeness to nature and allow you to feel this natural connection. Today we will talk about one of the parks of the capital, which was created in honor of her.
Park named after the 500th anniversary of Cheboksary
In 1969, when the capital celebrated itsOn the 500th anniversary of its appearance on the pages of history, on the Volga coast, near the Chernyshevsky ravine, the laying of a new park began. However, its opening was delayed for almost a decade.
A bit of history
Initially, it was planned to allocate an area of two hundred hectares for the 500th Anniversary Park (Cheboksary) in order to accommodate a film lecture hall, a pavilion for exhibitions, a separate reading area, a green theater, a variety stage, a dance area, several sports and playgrounds, summer restaurant, cafe and attractions. Only five years after the start of laying the park, in 1974, the executive city committee approved the final plan for this place. According to this project, the park was halved geographically, and according to the plan, it began to have an area of only ninety hectares. What was conceived according to the approved project took on real forms in the next four years. The long-awaited opening of the park marked the beginning of 1978. Then (only in 1981) Chuvashgrazhdanproekt proposed a well-developed project for the construction of this attraction. The 500th Anniversary Park (Cheboksary) was supposed to be conditionally divided into thematic zones: entrance, cultural and exhibition, zone for children, sports and recreation, for attractions, as well as for an ethnography corner.
Park named after the 500th anniversary of Cheboksary as a branch of the Lakreevsky forest
All this time, the 500th Anniversary Park (Cheboksary) belonged to another, large and oldest Cheboksary park of the Lakreevsky forest. Its history of appearance is no less interesting. And because duringFor 19 years, the 500th Anniversary Park has been under the "Lacree" beginning, then a mention of it would be quite appropriate.
In 1957, the Lacreevsky Forest park was created on the basis of a real natural oak forest, but it was called differently - the City Park named after the Fortieth Anniversary of Great October. However, very soon they began to call it the way it used to be, simply - Lacreevsky Forest. The fact is that earlier (in the seventeenth-eighteenth centuries) on the site of the modern forest, a huge oak forest stretched far. All these properties belonged to one landowner - Fedor Andreevich Lakreev-Panov. That's where the name came from. In the future, only a small mass remained of this rich oak forest, on the basis of which the park of the same name appeared.
The 500th Anniversary Park (Cheboksary) was under the "Lacreevsky" beginning until 1987, after which it switched to independent maintenance.
Alley of Generations
In honor of the 80th anniversary of the authorities of Cheboksary in 2004, the Alley of Generations was formed in the park's possessions. She was planted with twenty trees. This place is recognized as significant in Cheboksary. By planting these trees in 2004, a tradition was introduced to transfer information about each Christmas tree from one generation to the next, since each tree is named (in honor of those who were planting).
Road to Moscow
In 2005, a wooden sculpture "The Road to Moscow" was placed in the park (moved from another place). This monument is dedicated to the entry of the Chuvash and mountain Mari of their own free will into Russia in 1551.
Rose of the World(2008)
An unusual architectural composition with meaning was installed in the park in 2008. This is the Rose of the World. It is dedicated to the unity of peoples and cultures. This is a huge monument, at the bottom of which, at the base, there is an octahedron with carved sayings about peace, love, kindness and friendship. In the center of the monument, female figures are depicted, they raise a cup to heaven in the form of a beautiful flower, the petals of which personify multiple confessions, there are more than a dozen of them in Chuvashia, according to official data.
Park improvement
The park now has 13 rides. It should be noted that he thought out the entertainment program well enough for his visitors and guests of the 500th anniversary park (Cheboksary). Paintball, shooting at a shooting range, rental of a carriage or horse-drawn sleigh, rollerblading and skating (according to the season), karting, motorcycles and others. Also on the territory there is a separate field for football games and training of sports teams. Cheboksary residents and guests of the capital love to come to the park of the 500th anniversary (Cheboksary). Pavilions and benches for gatherings, and pavilions for trade - everything is ennobled and made for the convenience and comfort of people.
Future plans
In the coming years, they want to modify this place: expand and supplement. It is assumed that on the basis of this green zone there will be an ethnocomplex called "Amazonia". According to one of the projects, this complex includes a water park, an oceanarium, an entertainment center "Smesharik-Land", a sports complex and a yachtclub. Plans for the future are quite grandiose, and difficult to implement for a number of reasons. It is worth noting once again that the project plan is still under consideration and under development. Whatever the future fate of the park, I would like it to perform not only (or even not so much) entertainment functions, but also not to lose its natural connection with nature.
