Troparevsky Park covers an area of about 515 hectares and is considered one of the most beautiful and cozy recreation areas in Moscow.

Founded in the sixties of the last century, at first it was named after the 22nd Congress of the CPSU, but later it was renamed the Troparevsky landscape reserve, in honor of the neighboring district of the same name, but Muscovites themselves call it simply a recreation area. All the trees here are under strict supervision, they are well looked after, making periodic planned plantings of new plants. There are many birches and pines in the forest.

In general, Troparevsky Park was created on the basis of a forest that spreads along the ring road to the Moscow region. Initially, only the central square was provided here, from which alleys departed. Here you could see squirrels, hares, sometimes even elk, but today, when Troparevsky Park is built up on all sides with residentialquarters, no elk, of course, have long been gone, but squirrels, moles and long-eared ones still come across.

There are also a huge variety of birds that vacationers love to feed. The administration even arranged a special "bird town" not far from the square, where many decorative birds live in enclosures.

Since 2002, Troparevsky Park has become a natural area protected by the state. Every year it becomes more and more beautiful and comfortable: a lot of pavilions have been built, bizarre bridges have been thrown across the reservoirs, playgrounds have been laid out.

On the Ochakovka River, which flows through the park, a dam and a small pond were built, which immediately became a favorite pastime for residents of the surrounding areas.

You can swim in the pond, there is a beach with changing rooms and a "paddling pool" for the little ones on its shore. In spring, there are a lot of ducks with broods on the water, which fly away with the whole family to warm countries by autumn. There are a lot of fish in the pond: crucian carp, bream, roach and even perch.

In winter, polynyas are cut through the ice for local "walruses", and in the warm months, catamarans and boats float on the water surface. Walking along the pond is a favorite pastime for adults and children.

Nearby beats the purest spring called "Cold", near which a chapel was built, consecrated by Sergius of Radonezh. Muscovites consider this water to be healing, so they come here to collect it.

There are many attractions in the square in summer, children ride electric cars and livehorses.

Besides, Troparevsky Park has special volleyball grounds and a summer stage. Many national holidays are held here - Maslenitsa, City Day, etc.

Every year, folklore music festivals called "Wild Mint" are held in the reserve.

There is something to do in Troparevo not only in summer, but also in winter. There are excellent tracks for skiing, there is a good skating rink. Next to the stage, every winter they arrange a hill for sledding and inflatable balloons. It's usually a lot of fun and noisy here in the winter.

Troparevsky park is especially beautiful in every season.
