The city of Prague is located on the banks of the Vltava River. The map of Prague is divided into two parts by the Vltava. The capital of the Czech Republic is one of the oldest cities in Europe. This is the place worth visiting. A lot of sights are concentrated in it, and once here, tourists feel like in a medieval fairy tale. The city is located on nine hills, for which it was nicknamed the second Rome.
Beer houses, medieval towers and bridges, a huge number of museums - all this is Prague. The Prague map is available to buyers at all tourist information centers and hotels.
In general, this is a beautiful metropolis, and everyone can find something of their own in it, not only in the center, but also in more remote areas.
Prague. Prague Map
Administratively, the city is divided into 22 districts. Everyone wears his own number, following the example: "Prague-1", "Prague-2", "Prague-3" and so on until "Prague-22". The smaller the number, the closer it is to the city center. The map of Prague's districts is easy to read: first, we look for a number, focusing approximately on the center, then the street.
Looking at the districts, they can be divided into bedroom, business and cultural-historical. Thanks to the central part, Prague is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. To the central partdistricts with serial numbers 1, 2, 3 belong administratively. The map of Prague sights, which is usually issued to tourists at tourist information offices, usually covers this particular area.or accommodation by tourists is limited to districts 1-10. Districts 11-22 are far from the city, the transfer to the main attractions of the city is difficult, the journey takes 40 minutes or more, which can negatively affect the impression of the city.
Prague-1
This is the most touristic area of the capital. The most expensive and luxurious hotels are located here. The entire infrastructure is focused on tourists.
The district itself is divided as follows:
- Mala Strana is located on the left bank of the Vltava. One of the oldest parts of the city. Here are the embassies of many countries, as well as the island of Kampa, the Church of Mikulas and the funicular.
- Stare Miasto is the leader in the concentration of attractions per square meter. Here are located: Karluv Most (Karl's Bridge), Old Town Square.
- Hradcany - geographically belongs to districts 1 and 6. Known for Prague Castle. Looking at the Hradcany district from the Charles Bridge, one can observe the panorama with which Prague is associated. A map of Prague indicates that the largest church in the city, St. Vitus Cathedral, is also located here.
- Nove Miasto - the right-bank part, so called because it was completed later than the left-bank part, namely in the XIV century, during the time of Charles IV. To the placesworth visiting are Wenceslas Square, Republic Square, National Museum and Theater.
Prague-2
This area is a ten minute walk from the Můstek metro station, the central station in the first district. The area of the middle price segment for real estate is suitable for budget travelers and people who need quick access to the center, but do not need crowds of tourists and their noise outside the windows. Sights include Peace Square and the main railway station.
Prague-3
The area that continues Vinogradari is a little further from the center, but also more democratic in terms of prices. Of the sights, it is worth noting the TV tower, which can be safely called a work of modern art. The TV tower has an observation deck with a permanent exhibition of art installations, which is definitely worth a visit.
Districts 6-10
They can be classified as bedrooms, but at the same time they are adjacent to the central ones, and we can say that they have quite comfortable housing at lower prices. The silence and comfort of the streets will be a clear advantage.
