Kamskiye Polyany is an urban-type settlement located in the Nizhnekamsk region in the Republic of Tatarstan. The population is a little over fifteen thousand people. The village of Kamskiye Polyany is located on the left bank of the Kama River, 35 kilometers southwest of the district center.
History
There is no exact information about when people settled here. According to some reports, the settlement was founded by runaway peasants during the time of Ivan the Terrible. However, the official date is the eighteenth century, at least this is the first documentary mention of Kamsky Polyany, then it was a village. The village in its present form was built in 1981 due to the start of construction of the Tatar nuclear power plant here. It was terminated in 1990 by decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic.
How to get there
The village of Kamskiye Polyany is located (the map in the article shows this) in the Republic of Tatarstan, in the Nizhnekamsk region. You can get here by car from the regional center Nizhnekamsk (there israilway station), the distance along the highway is 47 kilometers, the road to this settlement runs through Sheremetyevka. There is another way - from Kazan, the distance along the highway will be 193 kilometers, along the way you will pass the following settlements: Sorochi Gory, Wet Kurnali, Alekseevskoye, Chistopol, Starosheshminsk.
Description of the village
Kamsky Polyany are located in the eastern part of the East European Plain. They occupy the middle plateau between the uplands of the republic. The nearest neighboring cities are Nizhnekamsk (45 km), Zainsk (50 km), Chistopol (50 km), Naberezhnye Chelny (90 km). On January 1, 2006, in accordance with federal law, the village of Kamskiye Polyany acquired the status of a municipality. From that moment, a new stage in the history of this settlement began. Within the administrative boundary there are more than 23 square kilometers of land, divided into three arrays: the upper, lower sites and residential area.
Infrastructure
Kamskiye Polyany has two schools, a gymnasium, four educational preschool institutions, a children's music school, a children's and youth sports school, a Sunday school, a children's and youth sports school in figure skating and ice hockey, a branch of the Nizhnekamsk Welding and Assembly College, a station youth and children's tourism "Turgai", as well as the Center for Children's Creativity "Rainbow". For teenagers, the youth center "Alan" operates, and the center "Chulman-Su.”
Master plan
On May 27, 2010, the local Council approved the master plan for this community. The Comprehensive Investment Plan for the Development of the Village of Kamskiye Polyany included projects that are aimed at diversifying the economy and providing employment for the population. They are based on the development of public and private partnerships representing medium and small businesses, as well as new sectors of the economy and housing and communal services. In particular, this included a number of projects for the construction of a fish-breeding complex, an industrial park, the construction of he althcare facilities, the modernization of the housing and communal services sector, and a system of measures to support small and medium businesses.
Industrial Park
UK "Kamskiye Polyany Industrial Park" is a complex of modern and cost-effective enterprises for the production of raw materials for construction, the automotive industry, agriculture, the textile industry, as well as the manufacture of packaging materials. This facility was created in 2010. A network of high-tech industries has been formed here, specializing in the processing of polymers as the main element of the national innovation system. The full-scale implementation of the project can stimulate the development of this depressed region. The management company "Industrial Park Kamskiye Polyany" (Tatarstan) does not yet have a rich history, but has already loudly declared itself in the market of the Russian Federation.
Zarnitsa
For those who are not interested in industrial tourism, the Kamskiye Polyany municipality can offer another type of outdoor activity. For the fourth year in a row, the Zarnitsa military-patriotic summer camp has been opened here for students of colleges, technical schools and schools of the Nizhnekamsk region, as well as Zainsk, Naberezhnye Chelny and the Tukaevsky region.
