Nessebar

The town of Nessebar is located on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, on a peninsula, 30 km from the large city of Burgas.

The distance to the world-famous Sunny Beach resort is about 3 km. Nessebar is considered one of the most ancient cities in Europe. In 1956, it received the status of a city-museum, and since 1983 it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Fund. The population of the city does not exceed 10,000 inhabitants, it occupies a small area, but, despite this, it is rich in sights and can offer tourists an interesting excursion program. In the city there are ruins of fortresses and temples, wooden buildings of the 19th century, numerous architectural monuments. Nessebar is divided into New and Old Towns: in the New there are most of the modern buildings and hotels, and the Old is located on a separate small peninsula, which is separated by a narrow strait. The old town allows you to plunge into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages - wooden buildings and museums attract researchers of antiquity. The city has a port where many ships from Europe constantly arrive. Part of the Old Nessebar went under water during the flood, in good weather, the sunken monuments can be seen while taking a boat trip. All 40 temples in the city survived - and this is considered a miracle.

Climate

The climate in the vicinity of the resort town is temperate, Mediterranean. The swimming season opens in May and ends in October, the air temperature in summer reaches 30 degrees, the water warms up to 26 degrees.

Aquapark "Paradise" (Nessebar)

The resort town of Nessebar offers guests many different attractions and interesting places that are definitely worth a visit - the excursion program includes architectural and historical monuments, cultural institutions and natural beauties. One of the most striking sights is the water park (Nessebar). It is recognized as the largest and most modern amusement park in the entire Balkan Peninsula. The territory of the park reaches 46,000 square meters.

In total, there are about 40 attractions in the Paradise water park, the total length of all water slides reaches 1500 meters. The territory of the park is a huge field of entertainment, immersed in greenery. Here, any visitor, from children to the elderly, will find entertainment to their liking. The water park (Nessebar) is built in the form of a castle, this brings an element of the game to the visit and adds entertainment. Traveling through the castle, you can climb one of the many stairs and get on the water slides. It is easy to get to the park - every 15 minutes there is a free bus from the hotels of the resort of Sunny Beach and from the center of Nessebar. The water park offers visitors a wide range of attractions. One of the newest, opened in 2013, is the Spiral and Rafting slides. The speed with which you can go down them reaches 9 m / s. For younger children, there is a Children's Castle in the park, where fairy-tale characters play with children, a kindergarten and a playground.

The puppet show will bring a lot of fun to the little visitors of the park. For those who love thrills, the Kamikaze water slide has been created - the descent takes place from a height of 22 meters. "Black Hole" is a covered slide 100 meters long. There are a lot of water slides in the park, each of them has unique advantages. Any visitor will surely find some favorite entertainment for himself. For those who prefer a relaxing holiday, a trip along the Lazy River is perfect, where you can enjoy natural scenery and magnificent views. There is a special rock for rock climbing. Some pools are equipped with springboards from which you can jump down.

Vacation Islands

There are special islands near the center where you can take a break from water racing and relax a bit. "Paradise Island" is an island with water pools.

Here you can order a massage - underwater or with a jet of water, use the jacuzzi. The second island is called the "Pearl of the Orient" - here visitors are offered to plunge into the oriental atmosphere. Swimming pool is popular"Butterfly" - it has a bar, an amphitheater and a stage. Entertaining animation shows are held in the afternoon. Visitors can visit a dance school, water aerobics, beauty salons and even get tattoos.

Food

Aquapark (Nessebar) offers visitors several catering points. On hot days, you can visit the pool bar, a fast food cafe, and a children's Mickey Mouse cocktail bar.

Visitors call the successful organization a big plus - despite the impressive capacity, there are practically no queues. Visitors do not interfere with each other, do not crowd and do not get bored. Animation deserves special praise - children's and adult entertainment programs attract many viewers, organized contests and games attract many participants.

Aquapark "Paradise" (Nessebar) accepts payment for visiting tourists depending on the height of the guests and their age. Children under 90 cm tall are admitted free of charge. You can order a separate safe and locker. Ticket price depends on the timevisits - for a full day for an adult visitor costs about 38 leva, you can buy a ticket for half a day - from 15.00, but you need to keep in mind that in the afternoon the number of visitors increases dramatically, and there may be queues for some attractions, as one of The water park in Nessebar is recognized as the most visited place by tourists. Prices for visiting are quite flexible, families with children receive discounts. Each visitor receives a sun lounger, an umbrella and a rubber raft at the entrance. At the entrance, each visitor wears a bracelet that can be used to pay for additional services.

Opening hours

The water park in Nessebar (Bulgaria) at the beginning and end of the season is open from 10.00 to 18.00, at the height of the tourist season - until 18.30. It should be borne in mind that the park is a cluster of rather high structures, and in bad weather, for safety reasons, it is closed - completely or partially. At the same time, money for pre-purchased tickets is non-refundable.
