Reed Flute Cave is tens of millions of years old. Once upon a time there was a natural reservoir in this place, but over time, the rocks rose and formed a mysterious cave, which eventually became overgrown with stalagmites and stalactites. Nature has created amazingly beautiful gorges and grottoes in it, which received romantic names: Crystal Palace, Pine in the Snow, Dragon Tower, Dawn in the Lion Grove, etc. An additional impressive effect is given by the illumination of the halls with a variety of shades, which are reflected in the lake located here.

There is a legend that says that once a poet came here for inspiration, but he was so mesmerized by the beauty of the cave that he even stopped moving and turned into a stone, which still stands in the reed flute cave. Opposite it is a white block, similar to a fabulous waterfall.

About the opening of the cave

The first people were in the cave around 792. It was possible to find out thanks to the texts and drawings found on the walls of the cave. These inscriptions were made during the reign of China by the Tang Dynasty. It should be noted that that time is considered the best for China, as it was ahead of all countries in its development.

Reed flute cave was discovered only in 1940, and since then it has attracted a large number of tourists.
