Qingdao: the sights of a Chinese city

In the Chinese province of Shandong is the wonderful city of Qingdao. The sights of this region fascinate tourists at first sight. Religious sites in Qingdao are also popular with tourists. One of these buildings is the Qingdao Catholic Cathedral, or the Cathedral of St. Michael. It was built in 1943, and then it was called St. Emil. It is located on Zhejiang Road. The religious building belongs to the Gothic style, but there are some elements of Romanesque culture in the architecture. The temple is built of yellow marble and has a special finish.

The area of the cathedral is 2.5 thousand square kilometers, and it reaches a height of 80 meters. On either side of the main entrance, two bell towers rise up. People's opinions say that this church is the most pompous and largest in the whole city.

City museums

Qingdao Fleet Museum will cause no less interest than the previous object. It was created by the People's Navy of China. This museum is one of the best institutions showing the stages of the formation of the Chinese Navy. The attraction was presented to a wide audience in October 1989.

The institution consists of three sections: the Sea area, the Inner hall and the hall where naval weapons are presented. The inner hall acquaints visitors with the naval history of the Celestial Empire. And in the other two sections, expositions of weapons, ships of various sizes, missiles and other exhibits are exhibited.
