Nizhnevartovsk Airport is one of the most important transport hubs in West Siberia. It is located nearby in the north-west direction from the city of the same name in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

General information

Since 1972an active build-up of the route network from the Nizhnevartovsk airport begins. First, flights are launched to Tyumen, then to Moscow, Kyiv, Leningrad, Sochi, Simferopol, to the Volga and Ural cities.

By 1981, work on the first reconstruction was completed.

From 1989 to 1990, the second large-scale reconstruction of the air terminal complex was carried out, after which the Nizhnevartovsk airport became capable of receiving Il-86 wide-body aircraft and modern airbuses. Since 1992, the enterprise has had the status of federal significance.

Since 1998, the FAS has assigned the ICAO category No. 1 to the airfield complex. After that, the airport began serving international flights. Now it is able to receive almost any type of aircraft of domestic and foreign production.

From the city to the airport, you can use public transport:

• buses number 4 (following from the village near the "Northern Grove");
• buses 9 (following from Starovartovskogo market);
• buses number 15 (from the railway station);
• buses No. 31 (following from the ASU Neft stop);
• bus 15 (from the Nizhnevartovsk bus station).

Also available by taxi.

If you plan to travel by private car, you must first go along Industrialnaya Street. After it ends, you need to drive about 5 kilometers along Aviators Street.

On the territory of the air terminal complex there is a guarded car parking around the clock. The first 24 hours of car parking cost 120 rubles. The next 20 days will cost the car owner 20 rubles per day.
