Malaga Airport (Spain) is considered the main air harbor of the entire southern coast of the country and is located twenty minutes from the city. It is often also called the Pablo Picasso Airport. This is not surprising, because the city is the birthplace of the famous artist.

Malaga International Airport is the largest in Andalusia and is in fourth place in Spain in terms of workload. The average annual number of passed passengers has recently reached 13 million people. The air harbor includes three terminals (one of them is not used now) and two runways, the length of which is 3200 and 2750 meters. On the ground floor of the main building there are representative offices of various companies that provide services such as car rental.
Overnight stay
Numerous traveler reviews indicate that Malaga airport is far from the most comfortable place to stay. The fact is that the lounge here is available only to passengers traveling in business class, while the seats in the waiting rooms are designed exclusively for a sitting position. In addition, none of the establishments listed above are open at night.
Public transport
The easiest and cheapest way to get to the city is public transport. From the railway station, located near the building, trains run to the center. To get to it, you need from the waiting roomtake the escalator to the second floor, then follow the signs. It is important to have euro coins with you. The fact is that train tickets are purchased from a machine that does not give change. Travel time to the center by train is about twenty minutes. As for its cost, the price depends on the distance to the final destination, however, as a rule, it does not exceed three euros. In addition, the airport "Malaga" has a developed network of bus routes. On this type of transport from here you can get to almost any city on the Costa del Sol - Cadiz, Torremolinos, Granada, Marbella, Gibr altar and others. The bus stop is right next to Terminal 3.
Taxi and transfers
Be that as it may, getting to the city on your own is often very difficult. This is especially true for those people who first came to the Malaga airport and have poor command of foreign languages. Such travelers are advised to use taxi services or order a transfer. In the first case, you will have to pay about twenty euros for a trip to the city center. As for the second of these options, it is considered more preferable when traveling in large companies, as well as in the presence of a large amount of luggage.
