"Arskiy Kamen" is a camp site located in the south-east of Bashkortostan in the Beloretsky district, in the very center of the southern part of the Ural mountain range. Interesting and useful leisure awaits guests here: river rafting, walking and horseback riding, speleological excursions. One of the most interesting natural objects - a high rock ledge - gave its name to the recreation center. Tourists come to the famous Arsky stone to admire the work of weathering forces, to see the marks of time. Many exciting folk tales and legends are dedicated to the cliff. And its age is about 400 million years.
Recreation center Arskiy Kamen (Bashkiria)
Fans of ecological, educational tourism, lovers of outdoor activities are happy to visit the mountains of Bashkortostan. In the north-eastern part of the Beloretsk region is the source of the Belaya (Agidel) River - one of the most beautiful water arteries of Bashkiria. On its right bank, 20 km from the regional center - the city of Beloretsk - there is an ancient rock ledge, and next to it is the Arsky Kamen camp site. In Soviet times, enthusiasts of horseback riding and water tourism in the South Urals gathered here. The camp site was established in 1972 on the site of a holiday home and over the years has become a visiting cardBeloretsk region and all of Bashkortostan.
The distance from the capital of the republic to Sosnovka is about 260 km. Some of the guests start their journey to the place of rest from the bus or railway station of Beloretsk. The road lies southwest along the highway. Before reaching the village of Sosnovka, you need to turn right (there is a sign). Heading to the camp site by car from Ufa, you can turn south without stopping at Beloretsk. Approximately 1.5 km before Sosnovka there will be a turn with a pointer to the recreation center.
The pristine beauty of the wild nature of the Southern Urals
In the vicinity of the Arsky Kamen tourist complex (Beloretsk), mountain peaks overgrown with coniferous and broad-leaved forests, subalpine meadows alternate with the green banks of the Belaya River valley. In prehistoric times, the entire South Ural territory went through long stages of development as part of the paleoocean. His retreat was associated with powerful mountain building processes. Limestones, dolomites and other sedimentary rocks are exposed on the modern western slope of the ancient ranges. Fragments and imprints of ancient mollusks and corals - the inhabitants of warm and shallow sea basins - are found everywhere in the stony talus. Found in the mountains of the Southern Urals and valuable igneous rocks, there are traces of ancient volcanism.
The Bashkir people have preserved a legend about an ancient giant who guarded a belt made of semi-precious stones and minerals useful in the economy on the site of a modern mountain range. To the richness of the mountains, nature has added the beauty of the riversand forests, the healing power of the air. Legendary Cliff
20 km south-west of Beloretsk and a few hundred meters from the tourist center there is a historical and geological monument - the Arsky stone. The height of this sheer limestone rock outcrop reaches 30 m. Weathering has been changing its shape for 400 million years, leaving bizarre patterns on the surface. The rock is surrounded by a pine forest and a majestic bend of the Belaya River. Relic plant species of forest and steppe flora are found here (Shiverekia Podolskaya, sunflower mint, volodushka multiveined).
The spirit of the times, the power of natural forces are reflected in the folklore of the Bashkir people. Some of the legends and legends associated with the Arsky stone and the Agidel River date back to the period of the popular uprising led by Emelyan Pugachev. According to one version, in 1774 the rebels captured the Beloretsk plant. Having received a refusal to demand to melt the guns, they threw the manager from the top of the Arsky stone into the river. After the execution, according to popular rumor, the waters of Agidel receded hundreds of meters from the Arsky stone rock (photos of the mountain formation are presented in the article). According to another legend, Pugachev hid the stolen treasures in a cave under a cliff. The entrance to the underground grotto was destroyed on purpose in the 30s of the last century to cool the ardor of treasure hunters.
Infrastructure of the recreation center, accommodation options for guests
Base roomsrecreation "Arsky Stone" is designed to receive 200-250 guests. In summer, accommodation options increase due to one-story houses. Approximately half of the total number of tourists is received by a brick winter building. Cozy summer houses are picturesquely located on the territory and almost closely adjoin the pine forest. The categories of offered rooms are different: standard, junior suite and suite. Each room is designed for 2-4 beds, in some rooms additional places can be created to accommodate guests.
There is a canteen on the territory of the complex, where three meals a day are organized (for an additional fee). If desired, guests can cook their own food, for this the recreation center has all the conditions.

Rehabilitation center project
In 2014, the Arsky Kamen recreation center (Beloretsk) could be converted into a drug rehabilitation center. The project was initiated by public organizations with the support of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for Bashkiria. If it were implemented, then the borders of the camp site would have to be closed, which would mean the end of the promoted tourist brand. When the leaders of the administration of the Beloretsk district and representatives of the national association of rehabilitation centers discussed the prospects, it was decideda decision on the inexpediency of placing a rehabilitation institution on the territory of a tourist complex. The opinion of residents and the public, who opposed the implementation of the rehabilitation center project, was also taken into account. The recreation center began to receive tourists as usual from June 1, 2014.
Excursion support in summer
In summer, horse, hiking and cycling routes, speleological trips, and river rafting prevail in the recreation program. Thematic bus excursions to historical and natural monuments of the Southern Urals are organized. Hiking trails introduce tourists to the protected corners of the region. Horseback riding is a tradition of the recreation center, which is over 40 years old. A unique equestrian speleological route has been added to popular hikes in the mountains, river valleys and forests, historical places.
Rafting on the South Ural rivers
Traveling along the waters of the Belaya and Inzer rivers on kayaks, catamarans and rafts is an attractive form of active recreation for brave and hardy people. The rafting routes prepared by the Arsky Kamen recreation center are of varying complexity and duration. Experienced travelers and beginners in this type of tourism take part in exciting trips. For the first, a 7-day route along the Inzer River and an 11-day water trip of increased complexity to the Shulgan-tash cave, which runs along the Belaya River, are of interest. Beginners will enjoy short introductory rafting trips up to 5 hours long. Even families with children can go hiking on the water of the Ural rivers, because the currenthere is not as fast as in the Caucasus.

The hostel in the vicinity of the village of Sosnovka operates all year round, offering its guests exciting routes, excursions and entertainment. On the territory of the complex there are also attractions: a ski slope with night lighting and the Arsk Castle. There is also a training ski complex, there is an installation of artificial snow, a slope and jumps for snowboarding.
The ice rink at the hostel is also equipped with night lighting. Pine forest attracts lovers of unhurried skiing. In winter, the area can be explored on horseback or in a sleigh. The camp site offers rental of snowmobiles, boats, boats, bicycles, tourist and sports equipment, fishing equipment.
Speleological excursions
Speleological trip to the Askinskaya ice cave is a bunch of adventures associated with visiting an amazing natural site. On the route, the participants will need a minimum knowledge of speleology and a maximum of enthusiasm. Askinskaya cave is filled with ice stalactites and centuries-old ice.
