Thanks to the increase in the area of the terminal, the throughput of the air harbor will also increase by a factor of three (from 250 people per hour to 800 people per hour). In the early morning of April 2, 2012, a plane crash occurred sixteen kilometers from the center of Tyumen near the village of Gorkovko. An ATR-72 passenger plane belonging to the UTair airline crashed here, which had just taken off from the runway of the Roschino airport and was heading to Surgut. On board the aircraft that ill-fated morning were 39 passengers and 4 crew members. Unfortunately, this terrible disaster claimed the lives of 33 people.
