However, not everyone knows which airports in Crimea accept liners from Russia. To broaden the horizons of Russian travelers, consider the question of what air terminals are available on the above peninsula.

It should be noted that every year Crimean airports serve over thirty thousand passengers who prefer to travel by plane. There are three air terminals on the peninsula. It is located in Simferopol, Sevastopol and Kerch. Many are primarily interested in the question of where the airport is in Crimea, which accepts foreign flights. It is located in the city of Simferopol.

This international air terminal was built in 1936. Relatively recently, the press reported that Ukrainian officials intend to build another airport of international importance in the Evpatoria zone and, in parallel, modernize the facility located in Kerch in order to give it the above status. How quickly these projects will be implemented is unknown.

Despite the fact that Crimean airports are represented by three large facilities, only one has the status of an international air traffic reception point. It, as already emphasized, is located in Simferopol. From here, airliners depart for the largest foreign cities: Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Frankurt - on the Main, Warsaw, Tashkent, Yerevan, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk.

This terminal is made up of several smaller buildings, namely the arrivals terminal, domestic and international departure terminals, and the diplomatic business lounge.

The airport in Kerch is located in the northwestern part of the city. The area of the facility is 320 hectares, it began to function in 1944. In Soviet times, air communication was carried out from here with such large cities as Krasnodar, Moscow, Kyiv, Simferopol. More recently, the airport was declared bankrupt.

It should be noted that in addition to the Simferopol airport, there is another object of international importance on the peninsula -air terminal "Belbek", but it was originally conceived as a building to accommodate military aviation. It is located in the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol, directly on the sea coast. It was built in 1941. In the first half of the 90s, civil air transportation, including international ones, began to be carried out here. In the period from 2002 to 2007, passengers were no longer transported through Belbek, and only three years later, the transportation of people resumed again. Currently, the airport serves flights to Kyiv and Moscow.

Many tourists are sure that Crimean airports offer plane tickets at an unreasonably high price compared to those sold at the box office of railway stations. However, the latest statistics show that the management of Russian Railways has increased the fare. In particular, the price of air communication on the route Moscow - Simferopol will not differ significantly from the cost of a ticket in a compartment car. However, the difference in speed is significant: a few hours of flight is nothing compared to twenty-eight hours or more by train.

It should be noted that the question of what airports are in Crimea is relevant not only for vacationers, but also for those who come to Ukraine for business purposes. To save time, entrepreneurs and businessmen simply have to know which routes are optimal and which airport will be the most convenient to use, since everyone knows the adage “time is money.”
