Talakan is an airport located in Yakutia. It was named so because it was built specifically for the needs of the Talakan oil and gas condensate field. That is why this airfield was created not with state money, but thanks to private investment by Surgutneftegaz. This situation is unique. After all, the payback of such large-scale projects is at least a century. Therefore, up to this point, only the state invested in the construction of airports.
Literally 112 km from the village of Vitim Talakan is located. The airport address is as follows: Republic of Sakha, p. Talakan. The postcode is 678150. There are several ways to get to the airport:
- on a regular bus;
- by taxi;
- on your own car.
Opening
Today Talakan Airport is a one of a kind private investment project. No budget funds were raised for its construction. Surgutneftegaz invested about 15,000,000,000 rubles to create this project.
The first technical flight was accepted here in November 2012. It was carried out by UTair. To the runwayTu-154 M aircraft landed. Since then, the airfield has been considered open.
Today, the entire airport complex is managed by the Airport-Surgut company.
The official opening of Talakan was solemn. It was attended by the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) E. Borisov, as well as the Deputy Representative of the Federation Council V. Shtyrov and, of course, the General Director of Surgutneftegaz V. Bogdanov.
Already in December 2012, a TU-154 plane with passengers landed at the airport. These were 166 people who came to work at the field on a rotational basis.
Schedule
The entire schedule of Talakan Airport is 10 flights. They all take off during the daytime. The routes are as follows:
- Krasnoyarsk;
- Ufa;
- Peaceful;
- Irkutsk;
- Novosibirsk;
- Surgut;
- Lensk;
- Ust-Kut;
- Moscow;
- Noyabrsk.
Rotational flights are made from Surgut, Lensk, Ust-Kut. It is on these planes that the workers arrive.
These flights are operated by Alrosa, UTair and Angara. Now the airport management is working to attract new carriers who will fly to other points in Russia. This will have a positive impact on the development of the region's route network.
The total capacity of the airport is about 200 passengers per hour. To date, only 1/3 of this maximum is used.
Runways
Talakan is an airport (the photo confirms this) with only one runway. It has a length of 3100 meters and a width of 42 meters. These dimensions allow the airfield to receive aircraft such as:
- Airbus A320;
- An-24;
- Tu-154;
- An-26;
- Tu-134;
- Boeing 737;
- Bombardier CRJ 100/200;
- and other lighter aircraft.
In addition, this runway is designed to receive all types of helicopters.
It is made of high quality reinforced concrete.
Infrastructure
Due to the fact that Talakan is a rather small airport, the infrastructure inside the terminal is poorly developed. True, investments in the development of this side continue. Therefore, a favorable outlook is very likely in the near future. Now on the territory of the terminal there are:
- trade stalls;
- shops;
- cafe;
- compartment designed to store luggage;
- ATM;
- car parking.
There is no hotel on the territory of the complex. The nearest one is located 150 km from Talakan. This situation is not critical, since there are no connecting flights. And the airport is used either by residents of the region, or by workers who fly to work in oil and gas fields.
Talakan is an airport that has radically changed the level of accessibility of this particular part of Siberia. And thiscompletely new opportunities in the development of the natural resources of this region.
