Paris is famous for its taste, charm and indescribable atmosphere. All these qualities were fully embodied when the Charles de Gaulle Airport was built. The author of the project, Paul André, gave it an unusual futuristic look, which still (since 1974) has not lost its originality and relevance.
Charles de Gaulle Airport is divided into three terminals. The first is reserved for receiving flights making intercontinental flights. It is located in a ten-level building of a round shape, from which transitions-beams to the parking lots extend to the sides. This is the most open of all the terminals - glass prevails around and many escalators covered with transparent caps.
The second terminal was originally built to serve Air France flights, but today other airlines are also served here. It consists of six buildings, which are connected by both ground and underground passages. For the convenience of passengers, shuttle buses run between the terminals, the interval of which is not
more than 7 minutes. You can also get to the terminal on the local metro, whose trains depart every 3 minutes. All of these vehicles are free.
Charles de Gaulle Airport also has a third terminal that serves exclusively charters. This is the most democratic terminal of all three.
Getting from the airport to various cities in France is not difficult - there are two railway stations and intercity bus stops on the territory. Getting to the city is even easier - there are both stops for regular city buses and express buses, Air France buses run. For holders of a driver's license, there are racks of companies offering car rental. There are taxi stands in the arrivals halls. In general, Charles de Gaulle Airport has created all the conditions for its guests.
