Most international flights are accepted by Hanoi Airport, but you should not regard the capital of the country as a simple transit point. It is not for nothing that tourists from coastal resorts are brought here on excursions. Vietnam, whose resorts are concentrated mainly in the center and south of the country, is very elongated in the north-south direction, and since Hanoi is located in the very north, it is quite cold there in winter. The peak tourist season in the city is September-November. At this time, the wet season has already ended, and the cold has not yet come. Despite the capital status and considerable size (more than six million people), Hanoi does not give the impression of a noisy metropolis, but rather looks like a museum city. The famous Lake of the Returned Sword is located here.

Not far from Hanoi is the official wonder of the world, which has no equal in beauty - Ha Long Bay. The name of the bay can be translated as "plunging dragon". From the sea surface, 3000 islands of the most bizarre shape rise sheer to the sky. Some of them have grottoes and caves, waterfalls. But Ha Long is also a city, the capital of Quang Ninh region. Tourists use the bay for excursion visits for 1-2 days. Resorts are not common in this part of the country: Vietnam has plenty of them south of Hanoi. However, you can stay for a few days on the island of Cat Ba.

Northern Vietnam, whose resorts are few, highlights the town of Shapa (its name is also pronounced as Sapa). It was founded by French colonists as a mountain resort, because the Hoang Lin Son mountains are also called the Tonkin Alps. Shapa is surrounded by high peaks. Here you can climb the top of Fansipan - the highest point in the country, ride a mountain bike, visit a local attraction, the "Love Market", visit many ethnic tribes living in the old way.

Move further south into Central Vietnam. The resorts here are the most diverse, for every taste: for calm “beach-goers” who love to flounder in shallow water, for surfers, for divers. Da Nang stands out here with China Beach - a paradise for surfers in the fall, when the wave is especially good. The resort hosts world championships in this sport. For those who want to improve their he alth in this part of the country, there is no better resort than Nha Trang. There is a mud bath and healing mineral springs. For a quiet leisurely family vacation, the former fishing village of Phan Thiet is suitable.

South Vietnam, whose resorts attract mainlywinter tourists, since the climate here is already subequatorial, has its own unofficial capital - the city of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). It is difficult to call this metropolis a resort, but if you have chosen the south of the country as your vacation spot, you must go on an excursion. Vung Tau resort is a favorite vacation spot for the people of Saigon. Rest here is quite expensive, elite, there are many villas, boarding houses and restaurants. Another resort in this region, which cannot be ignored, is Dalat. Even during the rainy season it is sunny here. There are many waterfalls, lakes, mountains in the vicinity - this is a vacation spot for active tourists.

The island that Vietnam is famous for is the resort of Phu Quoc. Located 40 km from the coast of the mainland, this island is also called "pearl" because it has several shellfish farms. There are beautiful virgin jungles and white sandy beaches. Phu Quoc is attractive for divers. It is also remarkable in that the wet season here lasts only a month (October).
