Holy places
Before becoming a city, Glazov was the village of Glazovskaya. Therefore, the first church was built of wood in 1750. The church was named in honor of the Ascension of the Lord, and its chapel bore the name of Nicholas the Wonderworker. A parish was formed, and the village became a village. In 1786, the wooden church was demolished and a new stone one was built in its place. This time, the main part of the money for the construction was donated by the widow of the merchant Korenev.
