The Leningradskoe highway leading to the airport is one of the busiest in Moscow. During peak hours, it becomes one long, formidable obstacle. To get on their flight, air passengers have to leave a few hours before its departure.
Ways to get to Sheremetyevo
The most reliable means of transport here is the Aeroexpress, which departs regularly from the Belorussky railway station platform. Perhaps only he is the only one who guarantees the accuracy of arrival at the required airport terminal. Railway transportin no way depends on traffic jams on the Leningrad highway. But you can use other types of public transport in order to get to the Sheremetyevo airport. The Rechnoy Vokzal metro station of the Zamoskvoretskaya Line is the terminus of several public transport routes that deliver passengers to aircraft around the clock. And, of course, a taxi, which has not yet been canceled. But it is expensive and does not depend on traffic jams only at night.
Should we continue the green line?
But it is not yet possible to give a concrete answer to the question of when it will be possible to get to the Sheremetyevo metro station. There are several projects for the development of the metro in the northwest direction, but most of them are still in the stage of sluggish discussion. It would seem that the most logical proposal is to continue the Zamoskvoretskaya line further beyond the Rechnoy Vokzal, gradually moving towards the new terminal station, the Sheremetyevo metro station. But this idea is finding less and less support due to the high project cost. The costs will remain very significant even with the open option of continuing the green line outside the Moscow Ring Road.

Recently, the option of the so-called "light metro" seems to be becoming more and more relevant. In this case, the metro line should come to the airport"Sheremetyevo" through the city of Khimki near Moscow and its environs. The advantage of this project, in addition to its relatively low cost, is that a densely populated area of the Moscow region will be provided with a reliable transport highway. But at present, we only know the name of the final station - the Sheremetyevo metro station. But the question of what trajectory the metro line will take there remains without a concrete answer.
