There is an amazing children's railway in Tatarstan. Kazan, in which it is located, opened it in order to train qualified personnel. There is a railway since August 2007. It is located on the territory of the Lebyazhye forest park zone.

History of the opening of the road

The proposal to build a children's railway in Kazan was received from the Russian Railways company in early 2004. The project was planned to coincide with the 1000th anniversary of the capital of Tatarstan. Until 2005, a place was chosen. There were two options: in the Gorky Park or near Lake Lebyazhye.

In March 2005, the preparation of project documentation began. The deadline for putting the facility into operation was set for 2006. The date was then changed to 2007. Five passenger trains and three diesel locomotives were planned, of which one was supposed to be a battery electric locomotive.

In the fall of 2006, preparatory work began for laying railway tracks. A children's railway (Kazan) was planned to Yudino and then in his career. But the localsopposed such a route, so the deadlines for the final commissioning of the facility were somewhat delayed.

As a result, the Kazan Children's Railway (address: Altynova Street, 4 "A") was opened only on August 30, 2007. The event was held in a solemn atmosphere. The opening was attended by the President of Tatarstan, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation and other officials.

Goals and objectives of opening a children's railway

Children's Railway (Kazan) was built for pre-professional training of future skilled workers. The purpose of creating the object is to create the necessary conditions for adolescents to self-determination. Thanks to the involvement in the railway business, students develop communicative, creative and organizational skills. This is facilitated by the joint activities of adolescents.

As a result, they have an interest in their future profession. Students receive not only theoretical knowledge in many speci alties, but also their consolidation in practice. At the same time, adolescents are educated in collectivism, accuracy, responsibility and conscientiousness.

Description of the road

For the Children's Railway, four kilometers of tracks were laid and two final (Molodezhnaya (or Yashlek) and Izumrudnaya) and intermediate (Sportivnaya and Birch Grove) stations were built. On the main (one of the trailing ones) there was a two-story railway station with a three-stall depot and an educational building. The size of the facility allowed the storage of the entire rolling stock. A 4-point lift and a crane were installed in the workshop.beam.

In a three-story building, a hostel was equipped for railway students who came from other cities in the summer to practice. A buffet and a canteen for workers were opened at the station. There is a large car park at the station square.

Children's Railway (Kazan) has terminal stations, one of which is named Emerald. Only a one-story building was built on it, in which the cash hall is located. There are no capital buildings at the intermediate stops of the train. Only blue plastic awnings are installed. All buildings of the ChRW have an intricate architecture with blue and mirror glass and ceramic wall cladding.

The route starts from the village of Zalesnoy and ends with the Yudinsky quarry beach. The route of the train lies in a picturesque pine green area. The narrow gauge railway is equipped with turnouts, modern equipment and two crossings. While the train is running, traffic lights, safety devices, communications and signaling are used. There are also auto-blocking and centralization systems.

Station at st. Youth is designed for 25 people. The building houses a ticket office, a small cafe and an electrical centralization post. It controls the railroad. The train is called Rainbow. It moves at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour. The total capacity of passenger cars is 157 people.

Training

Children's Railway (Kazan) has an administrative and educational building. It is equipped with classes forstudying railway speci alties:

• locomotive drivers;
• carriages;
• movers;
• travelers.

And also farm specialists are trained in the educational building:

• passenger;
• alarms;
• blocking and centralization;
• links.

In the educational building, a canteen for 36 seats and a sports hall are equipped for students and teachers. The hostel has double rooms, which have all the necessary amenities for students who come to study and practice from other cities.

The academic year is from October to March. Theory is taught only once a week. Practice starts in June. Education is free and lasts three years. There are special conditions for foreign students. A set of study groups is carried out from schoolchildren in grades 4-7 of secondary schools and gymnasiums in Kazan and other cities of Tatarstan. After training, graduates receive certificates of completion of a three-year specialized course.
