Airbus is today one of the main suppliers of aircraft around the world. The world-famous company has its own production facilities in several European countries: in Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom. The headquarters of the aircraft giant is located in a small town called Blagnac, which is in the suburbs of Toulouse, France. The staff is about 50 thousand people. The airline produces a full line of aircraft, including the Airbus A319 aircraft, the cabin layout of which can accommodate up to 156 seats (in an enlarged version), depending on the customer's desire and configuration.
Airbus A320 family
The most advanced aircraft at that time, released in 1988, it became the first passenger airliner in the world to use EDSU (electric remote control system). Such narrow-body aircraft were intended for medium-haul and short-range flights. The main competitor of the family of such winged vehicles is a series of airlinersAmerican made Boeing 737. The increased demand for such aircraft forced the management of the enterprise in February 2008 to open a second center for their production in Hamburg - Finkenwerder. Up to this point, only one site was operating in Toulouse, where the final assembly of the Airbus A319 was carried out. The layout of the aircraft cabin was determined by the Airbus model. The smallest of this class, "A318", could take on board a maximum of 138 people, and this is when it is arranged in one class (economic Y).
Short colleague
In the industrial line of medium-haul narrow-body aircraft, there is also a shortened version of the 320 - the Airbus Industrie A319 model. The layout of the cabin of such an aircraft is shortened by two rows of passenger seats due to a shorter fuselage. The basic variation of the model is designed to carry 116 passengers, however, at the request of the customer (airline), passenger compartments can be formed individually. The future operator himself chooses the number of cabin classes, their status and the distance between adjacent seats from the recommended range proposed by the manufacturer. Airbus A319 can be made up of three classes of cabins: first, business and economy. In the most economical variant, when the car is equipped with a single economy class cabin, 156 people can fly on board the Airbus A319 at the same time. The layout of the cabin with this configuration will have a minimum distance between adjacent rows of seats, 28-30 centimeters (about 11 inches).
Where are the best seats?
Standard "Airbus A319" with a basic configuration of economy class Y for 156 seats has 26 rows, three joint seats to the sides of the central aisle (six seats in a row). Without a doubt, the best seats on an airplane are in the front row. Without front seats and with increased legroom, the potential of such seats has been appreciated by many, if not almost all, air carriers who sell a reserve for them for a certain amount of money. At present, it is very difficult to find an airline that does not charge extra for booking such seats on the Airbus A319. The layout of the cabin of this aircraft is built in such a way that these are the only best places in the cabin, not counting those located at the emergency exits, where not all groups of air passengers are allowed to land.
Are you cool?
Sit in the front row is very comfortable, even despite the proximity of the kitchen and toilets next to the cockpit. But even here, there are some passengers who complain that seat 1A is rather cool, unlike other seats in the front row. In fact, that's the way it is. If you look at the layout of the aircraft air ducts, you can find almost above this place, a little closer to the main exit, an aircraft supply unit with a heat exchanger unit, which is responsible for creating the climate in the Airbus A319. The layout of the cabin is designed in such a way that the distribution of cooled air through the deflector grilles beginshence, which may cause some discomfort to passengers sitting in seat "1A".
At the emergency exit
What about the rest of the places? The 10th and 11th rows are also designated as places of increased comfort. Some particularly “prompt” airlines manage to charge a fee for booking these places as well. However, their location opposite the emergency exits, which on the one hand is a plus due to the increased legroom, may turn out to be a minus for some passengers, because they simply will not be put there. This applies to children, the disabled, pensioners and pregnant women. In an emergency, passengers in these seats are expected to assist flight attendants, however, the above categories of persons, as a rule, need to be accompanied themselves.
National carrier
By the way, he has 7 Airbus A319s in his fleet. The cabin scheme (Aeroflot ordered an individual layout from the factory) consists of 21 rows and two classes of service. There are 5 rows in the business class: 4 seats in a row (double seats of increased comfort). The economy cabin has 16 rows: 6 standard seats (triple seats on each side of the aisle).
